polarice I called merc where I bought my extended from it took a long discussion with them & they finally said if it meets our specs u can use that oil. I'm very happy with my fuel & oil consumption on that big of a motor I just fish alot. I fished a FLW tournament a couple years ago out of Port Clinton & had a ball I might take u up on that fishing invite someday. I live on the Wolf River & fish the bay of Green Bay alot if u ever get over this way give me a shout I'll take u out fishing around here.

I appreciate your invite also. About the closest I've been to Green Bay is Wetmore. But, I may end up there sometime. I read an article about casting for salmon over by you outside of marinas when the wind is right. Guys started doing that to get away from trolling so much. Something about an inshore wind brings the cold water closer and they feed closer to shore then. That would be a total blast!

I guess the grass is always greener. I get tired of Lake Erie and walleye and go to other waters. Small lakes, rivers, streams. I use the Lund for Lake St. Clair, Lake Chatauqua, Erie, etc., and I have a small boat for rivers. Fish, fish, fish!

No im not advertising just seeing what everyones thoughts were on it.

Lets face it, no oil is "bad"....even sea-n-snow is just fine. You aren't going to burn up an engine because of your oil selection (unless of course, you run it empty).

I run synthetic in my Harley but it is 4-stroke. My 2-strokes run semi-syn, but again, just a personal choice.

In any case, I love the smell of 2-stroke!

Yes, FC and FD are very similar, but if a manufacturer states the machine must run a JASO FD oil, they could deny warranty work very easy if you ran an FC rated oil.

Best to play it safe. If the OEM wants FD, then run a FD oil. If you want to be even safer run their suggested oil in the manual.

Ok, i am new to this so i asked i signed up to be a preferred customer because it was cheap so i was seeing what everyones thoughts were on it, plus being a pc saves ton of money from going directly from amsoil. I can give whoever my dealers name if they are interested in buying at wholesale.

Thanks everone for their input

I use the Amsoil HP Injector oil in both my 97 vmax 600 and 06 skidoo 500SS. I have been using it for years and have no issues with it. I like being able to use the same oil in both sleds. I don't see any odor difference from my buddies' sleds, and no one complains when they ride behind me. I did use Sea n Snow for one season, and people complained of the odor when riding behind me, so I went back to Amsoil. I would be interested in buying at wholesale.

They do have other brands of oil just as good, but less costly, right next to the Amsoil at the Fleet Farm too! :)

Mystic sea and snow???

Around here we have Tractor Supply. It used to be called "Farm and Fleet." Is that the same thing as "Fleet Farm?" Are the all the same company?

He's talking about Arctic Blue. It must be good, they had 55 gal. drums of it at haydays. xcsp says his powervalves have never been cleaner with it. I run it in my 700 with 6500 miles, and ran it in my 99 indy 500 for 8000 miles, and my 93 indy trail for 8000 miles. But I "have" to run amsoil, I got a sticker on my sled ;) polarice, I found 1 amsoil sticker in my big box of stickers. It's small, but I put it on my sled anyways. If the stickers are on its way already, that'd be awesome but if not I guess you don't HAVE to send them if you don't want to...

I sent those things out on Monday. I bet they'll be there either tomorrow, or by Friday. The government snail mail is not the fastest. Of course, I could've sent them out before Moday ;)
