Went for a ride down the river today and locked her up. Temp light came on. Thought it was just from running on the hard park, so I moved over into fresh snow expecting the temp to come down. Never happened. Made it about a 100 yards or so and she locked up tight! found the rear heat exchanger ice cold. First thought was stuck thermostat or lost the water pump. Tore it down and found the motor bone dry. Not a drop of oil anywhere. So now I'm thinking I lost the water pump and oil pump at the same time. It appears they are driven off a common shaft, but the parts diagram is kind of vague on the water pump side. Can anyone confirm they are driven off the same shaft? Anyone else seen problems with the shaft or drive gear?
