The weather guy here just said we *would have had* 20some inches of snow by now here in Milwaukee, but we just got screwed again and so far have had over 2 inches of RAIN!!!! UGH am I pissed
The problem I see is that it's 8 degrees above the forecasted high all over the place. It's 34 in mass city for gods sakes. 50 here in northern Illinois .
Just got back from short ride. Ditch banging in some places were hard because of drifting and blowing snow. It was good to get out for a little while. Some spots were blown clean, visibilty was bad in spots but it was still fun.
It has been snowing pretty much all day here. Wet and heavy, it will make a great base! Pretty windy, but I would guess total snowfall so far around a foot? Hard to tell with the wind blowing. Ground is still soft underneath it also.
We got between 8 and 10 here.
Had to blow snow 3 times today.
Now the wind has picked up but I don't think we'll get much drifting as the snow is heavy and wet.
8 1/2" in eastern Langlade County, the wind has increased quite abit, supposed to get another 2-3 overnight. Some clubs are out panning/packing tonigh. the rest will probably be out tomorrow.
Maybe this is just a minor detail and I'm the only one mystified by it, but why in the world are Door and Kewaunee Counties still under a Blizzard Warning??? To give me false hope that it is still going to snow 8+ inches there??? From the sounds of it a Flood Warning would be more fitting.
It rained HARD until about 1 p.m. on the Garden peninsula, then got about 6"of snow altogether through this morning. Better than nothing, but this is getting really old - any time we get a big storm is warms up and rains down here.
