Another unfortunate experience.

hybrid, yes they picked up the part and signed. I am disputing with Discover. They can resolve this if they want to and hopefully they will. Thanks for the support. I'll keep you all posted on this thread. Thanks again:)

I really can't believe this - I do Kip but you know what I mean. I've bought a lot of sled parts, auto parts, etc. Do you know how many I've broken just putting them in??? Never thought to cancel payment. What a crock. No judgement here going after them. Especially after you gave them advice on what else could be wrong! President my rear end.

Kip maybe you can damage this guys credit rating so he will think before screwing another small biz owner. He knows he is wrong & should never have installed the part himself.

kip I just talked with someone in the know last nite about this....and they said to do this....you have 30 or 60 days to dispute....in writing...and make it as long as possible with as many facts as you can...the longer the explaination the more it will be decided in the businesses favor..dates..times...and even video off security cams...the talking about saving and helping us on vacation and all of it...the contract that states no returns on electric parts and so on...the singing of the receipt and sigs...usually the customer looses she said and they are in the wrong...takes some time is all...no filing and no fees

I agree with maybe dropping Discover when this is over. Maybe read all of your rights with each of the cards you accept. I would bet discover will eventually give you your money back. What that customer is doing would be happening more if it was that easy. Also, Kip you are right...accepting cash isn't realistic anymore. I for one don't carry alot of cash on me, BUT when I'm riding I will take more than usual since I don't know where I will be and if they will accept credit cards.

The reason electrical parts do not have warranty on powersports is for the simple reason that there's usually something that's causing them to fail especially when it's a CDI Box. They sent me the part back and when I opened the box it was burnt. That tells me the voltage regulator is shot most likely or they have a wiring harness issue. It's simple, they didn't want to pay for labor to inspect it and it cost them in the short run so now they're obviously pissed. Just great guys, it's still your fault:) Good Lord! LOL! Thanks Tracker, appreciate it. We did just submit a lengthy letter with dates, times, and the part information. Hopefully Discover will do the right thing here and I truly believe they will. I think it's pretty cut and dry. I told the lady she should be ashamed of herself for taking advantage of a small business. She said I should be ashamed:) Holy smokeners!! LOL!

all credit cards work in atm with your pin.... I know of many cash only businesses that roll like this.
You could even accept bitcoin. No bs processing fees etc.

Discover may pay Kip. Maybe. But the original customer will probably not pay Discover. So Discover will be the one getting juiced. On my personal Discover card statement there is always a current credit rating. If Discover gets hung with this you can bet that they will 'adjust' the credit rating for the individual involved.

Hey Grub you and I think a like get him where it hurts in his credit rating or he will be right back screwing another biz. You would think he would talk to Kip rather than put his wife up to it.

Kip: the returned part is the one you sold him not the original ? would not be the first time someone returned the original and tryed to get money back. Check the date codes.

They returned the brand new part and it was burnt from a issue they apparently have on their sled. Trust me, I would love to put their names out there. She even posted about staying at Parkview and having sled issues on her facebook page. Guess because they have a wiring issue with their sled they feel we should be responsible for that:)
