my harley after 50,000 miles started to get get a knock and ping whenasking for some throttle.put seafoam in the gas and it was an immediate difference.if you have never tried it you should not comment badly on it.it was a night and day difference for me.

My bike did that at 32,000 miles. Found out that the ethanol I got out west loosened (cleaned) the tank out and dumped the crap into the screen (filter). changed filter. Should I have fuel filters on stand by if I use the Sea Foam? Just don't want to create another problem.

Well..... get on with it will ya.....
I thought about paying the local hooligans to take a ride up to Irons, find all your toys and while you were sleeping, add a little SF into them all. BUT since your willing to give it a try .... Please proceed ! Better yet either tie that exhaust valve up or wire it out of the way, then dump that SF in everywhere, get it running , let it spit the years of poor maintenance out thru the pipe, and run it. It will be like having open headers or can on ! Then you can wait for the "big one" ( snow storm ), clear your driveway with the wheelhorse, push that new Ariens out in front with a " FOR SALE " sign and sell it for a profit.

At this time could you share with me the " AMSOIL " product that everyone is refering to that they add every 15,000 miles ? AND 1 more question .... " HOW WILL I KNOW IF I NEED IT" ?

The Ariens is for home. Never should of bought it since I feel it will curse me with no snow this year. God likes to see me shovel. I think the Amsoil stuff you speak of is for diesel engines. The Wheel horse valve guides are pressed in an aluminum block and exhaust tends to burn its way down the outter side of the guide to exit. I am probable a real good candidate for Sea Foam. It sounds like it does more than Stabil.

For what it is worth a mechanic friend told me he is not an advocate of this but if you are going to add a product like this to your oil do it often, like every few oil changes to keep the engine clean. If you all of the sudden put this in an engine with 60, 70, 80+ thousand miles of gunk you can break off large deposits and plug oil passages. Makes sense in theory...

Thats pretty much been my concern. I have used things such as Radiator stop leak , Motor Honey, etc. and created larger issues from such products.

I was just funning with you.... I have a neighbor, he was giving my SF the stink eye, after he watched me do the whole fog & heat a sunken Jetski thing he was amazed how much carbon was cleaned out. Unbeknownst to me he had generator issues with his jalopy RV he bought, he purchased a can of SF , ran it in his motor, ended up with a " Black Face " since he couldn't get out the way of his exhaust quick enough ( LOL ) and wall - awe .... he is now a believer.

As far as the " CURSE THING " we don't need any of that going on......

I know of a great seat rebuilder/recoverer. He is like 90 or so. Been at it his whole life so he says. He has my wifes seat right now doing a total rehab building in a back rest and adding embrodered flames, he has had it for a few weeks. He also has some way cool Crocodile skin for seat recovers also. He operates out of a Man cave shed behind his house. You probable can ship it to him and tell him what you want over the phone. His name is Harris, he is in Bitely, MI. ph. (231)745-7227 He does seats for most of the Bike dealers around here. Knows his stuff. Highly recomended.
