Best Chicagoland Pizza Place?

Been to most places mentioned above all pretty good. To me it depends what kind of pizza I'm looking for. Pan pizza normally Gullivers on howard st. "cool atmosphere" or Lou's on Lincoln av. in Lincolnwood. Lou's by my house is just not the same. For thin pizza at sit down place I'll drive little north to Bills pizza pub in Mundelein or Quonset pizza in Waukegan. My son likes bill's because they have peanuts at tables and you can toss shells on the floor.
For pick up or delivery I like LaRosa's in Skokie or Pieros in Wilmette.

Might be a little drive from New Lennox, but if ever in those areas give them a try.

As someone who grew-up in Chicago proper I have a question. When did deep dish and stuffed become "Chicago Style Pizza"? Growing up in the city we never had "Chicago Style Pizza" we had nice thin crust pizza cut in squares! It was fun to try and get your fill without eating the inside squares (no crust) you always tried to eat the crust first.

I just had to ask,

Stay away from Giordano's, unless you like a pizza with zero flavor. $2.00 Jacks Pizza from Jewel has more flavor than that garbage over priced pizza. IMO

Het RB tell your friend the chicago crust is all about the water so try and have the water he uses to mix up the dough be the same as down here.
Some friends who had a place here moved to Florida and opened a place down there and they could not get the crust right, they even had some Chicago tap water flown down mixed up a patch and it came out perfect just like back home needless to say they no longer are in the pizza bussiness down there thay now have a livery service...

I like Lou's, UNO's, and Bill's. I couple other's not mentioned is Wapaghetti's in Wheeling and Libertyville (check first before going as it's been a few years since I lived there). Another one I liked is in Morten Grove called Pequod's (sp?). I totally miss the Pizza and other food in Chicagoland and the best I can get here in Madison is Rosatti's! Good luck!

There was a little neighborhood place. I think it was on Scheffield between Belmont and Diversey that had the best thin crust I have ever had. We used to order up the BBQ Chicken Pizza from this place and eat about half the pie before we even got back.

This was about 20 years ago, so it may not even be around any more, but an authentic Chicago neighborhood pizza place, with great pizza.

Sorry I forget the name!

I neglected to mention the old skool Pequods, Nanos, or Barnabys dinner wheels cuz I wouldn't think anyone would of heard of them... So far I think there's only two wheel houses mentioned that I haven't been to yet...
