Best Truck Tires?

I'm on my 3rd set of Good Year's and my truck has 225,000 miles on it and I still have ok tread, but need to replace soon. I got 84,000 miles out of the first set. Couldn't be happier with Good Year.
my wife's winter car (01 mountianeer) has the Goodyear's Wrangler they had them stock so when she went to get new tires she got the same ones.
well it has 126k and on its 2nd set and still more than enough tread for this winter.they are not the most grippy tires but the mountaineer is full time AWD so they are fine.
I have never used it for anything but driving on roads with no trailer

Same here, I get 50k out of them with RNS, (rotation neglect syndrome)

I have had excellent performance and life from a set of General Grabber AT2's.

I currently have these on my 2004 GMH2500HD, and they have lasted 40K miles. Their snow performance is excellent, and they are quiet on the highway.
Tread is similar to the BFG's, but price is much less.

i priced these out and they didnt seem any cheaper guess it depends where ya go but id rather my sidewall say bf goodrich then general for an extra $50
Yup - Best truck tire ever. Last long and awesome in snow.
I have D Load rating on a 98 chevy tahoe. (50 psi)

Winter rated all season
The only winter rated (snowflake symbol) that is all season is the Goodyear triple tread. No one even talked about those.

I have always been a fan of BFG A/T's but I couldnt bring myself to drop the $200 a tire that I was quoted. I ended up buying from a company called treadwright. They make retread truck tires. I got the best of both worlds- My BFG sidewalls and only paid $115 each. So far they seem to be wearing great and are far better in the rain and snow than the firestones my truck came with. The only drawback is that they do create more road noise than my old tires. But I also have a pretty aggressive offroad tread pattern. Im sure the A/T pattern is quieter.

Not sure the best for a 1/2T, but I have had the BFG's, Pro Comps, and now the Michelins on my last two 2500HD's. The Pro Comps seemed to grip better in the snow then the BFG's, but I got the most miles out of the BFG's. The Michelins are the quietest and seem to be wearing very well (17K on them so far) but I have not been happy with the traction.

I work field service and drive about 35000 miles a year ,my truck came through with Hankook Dyna pro HT when I got it, I thought GREAT, this will be great in the snow NOT. But much to my surprise they worked very well I had zero complaints I ran them 38000 and drove over a bolt and ended up replacing the set they still had 8/32" left and came through with 13/32" I replaced them with the Hankook Dyno Pro ATM a little louder than the HT tires but not bad I currently have 82000 miles on the truck and the tires are at 8/32" I figure next year in the fall I will need to replace them around 110K
I won't bash any Brands but I like them better than the Goodyears which I had on all the Rangers I use to drive
I know they are not as well known as the big brands but I would at least take a look I have put a lot of miles on them and have no complaints

Even with free tire rotation from Discount Tire I still suffer RNS. your not alone. Did I mention, I love BFG's.
if u buy at discount u should be running over nails in the first inch of the tread regularly. I have gotten many many many replacements over the yrs. buy a set and u should be close to good for the life of the truck.
stuff happens when u work construction.
I keep waiting for the day they tell me I cant buy warranty from them any more but in 13 yrs they keep selling it to me.

Yokohama Geolander A/T S. great grip in virtually all settings. A noise level that won't drive you insane. And they are lasting a real well. I have over 55K on mine and am going to run them another winter. Will replace them with the same come next Summer.
