Just throwing this out there, if the majority of engine failures are with the CFI sleds, could it have anything to do with the fuel injection system or fuel filter? (Recommended fuel filter change interval for Polaris CFI is first at 1k, then every 2k after.)
Also, seems the newer 2-strokes (any brand) seem lean in the mid-range, for those that have went down, how many were running at those speeds, for any length of time?
A guy in our group melted a 600 CFI down. Turns out it was the fuel filter. Don't know if he had changed it before. Another guy in our group has a XCSP600 with just under 10,000 miles. My Fusion 600 went about 3000 before the carb boots gave out. Seemed like you couldn't kill a Edge chassis 600.
