Boots

Ok, I took the plunge and ordered a pair on eBay on sale for 314.95 and free shipping. I was going to look for them at the show in Milwaukee this year but I'll be out of town and will miss the show. That was the best price I found, still seems like a lot to me.............haven't told the wife yet either, lol. My Trukks were about 160 about 12 years ago so I guess it's all relevant. This ain't a cheap sport!!

Dude, your paying retail.

Paid $225 for the Klim Adrenaline BOA's last spring, but that was a combo purchase price with bibs, jacket, and gloves.

Yes, every place I looked they were 349.99. So 314.99 plus free shipping didn't
look too bad to me. Might have been cheaper at a show but I didn't have that option.

You wont/can't see more than 10% off current klim gear so $315 is right in line with show pricing.

Are you still trying to "wrap your head around how these can keep your feet warm" like me? Always have worn Sorel style boots while riding, actually usually Lacrosse boots. But thinking about getting new style snowmobile boots this year, lighter and much narrower than my liner boots. The added stiffness of the ankles, and better fit on running boards. Easier to jump over seat for boondocking side hilling etc.

My LaCrosse Iceman's are officially 20 years (seasons) old this year. 5 years ago I bought a pair of $70 Baffin's to use when I ride locally when it's warm out. I use the Iceman's now only when it's cold or when I'm touring.

Maybe this year it's finally time to retire the Iceman's?

Wander around in them a bit. They are stiff but loosen up. If you plan on going dancing after sledding. ..I put on my 20 year old LaCrosse Icemans. Can really cut the rug with them. But if you really want to look good in the bar go for the trukkes. I have all of them. Only boots that let me down were my skidoo slash klim wannabe boots I bought at Novi. Skidoo would not stand behind those leakers.

Seems like a lot of people like the HMK's. I can't imagine dropping $350 for boots. I know Klim makes good gear, but sometimes I wonder if they are just testing to see how much someone will pay for something. They obviously know what they are doing though...

Ditto. I think Klim is good, but not on every single item they sell. I am not hooked on their helmets or boots. Fly makes a very good helmet, Hmk great boots, nylon undies are nylon undies, but klim outer layers and bibs are excellent along with their Togwotee gloves.

The hmk boas retail for over 300 also, but they've been out for so long that there's good clearance deals on them.

Completely off topic, but anyone know where I can score some Motor Fist boots at the show? Last year I searched and searched, but nobody had them. Thanks.

I didn't go to a show this past year, but I heard deals weren't there as much as in years past. I wonder if there will be better deals this year since large parts of the midwest had little snow.

Is BOA really worth the premium? Seems like I tie my boots once a day and then don't think about them again.

Easy on, easy off, even lacing, no lace breakage good enough for me. My Trukkes best boots ever made have quick clips like on snomo covers never broke one but would go BOA on next pair for sure. Can't trash trukkes boots had them forever still my #1 boot.....no idea how many miles on them but a lot!
