Here we go, Irish setter has a variety of insulation levels and priced right in my opinion, only boots I wear anymore.

when you tie your shoes/boots, you just turn a dial. I like it for the quick release on boots. You pope out the dial and foot just falls out, no more struggling.

I bought a spare "lace" and replacement kit to carry with me. If it brakes, it is covered under warranty, but at least now I don't have to wait for a new lace. I don't think any other shoe manufacturer warrants their laces.

Are these boots warm for the average old trail rider like me? Or are they more for off trail and tactical riding?

Very warm. I put 4800 trail miles on in one season on the adrenalines never had cold feet once.

Are you still trying to "wrap your head around how these can keep your feet warm" like me? Always have worn Sorel style boots while riding, actually usually Lacrosse boots. But thinking about getting new style snowmobile boots this year, lighter and much narrower than my liner boots. The added stiffness of the ankles, and better fit on running boards. Easier to jump over seat for boondocking side hilling etc.

I'm going with the Motorfist (2.0). Was really disappointed in what was available at the show last year. Would have pulled the trigger had I found some. Hoping to find some cheap!

Ok, I took the plunge and ordered a pair on eBay on sale for 314.95 and free shipping. I was going to look for them at the show in Milwaukee this year but I'll be out of town and will miss the show. That was the best price I found, still seems like a lot to me.............haven't told the wife yet either,lol. My Trukks were about 160 about 12 years ago so I guess it's all relevant. This ain't a cheap sport!!
