Favre back to his old ways--4 turnovers (3 of them int's yesterday in the loss). Guess it's true-you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Time to take the next flight home Brett-go spend time with that grandchild of yours, and enjoy the golden years instead of embarassing yourself.

We'll let you back on the bandwagon Ubes, but first I think you should apologize for some of the mean things you've said about the Packers.
Favre retired and wanted out of GB. Ted decided he had his QB of the future. When Brett demanded for his release, Ted said sorry. Only a poor business man would have done that.
That would be like you trading your best musky bait to the guide down the street. Ain't goin to happen.
Here's a picture of a t-shirt we saw outside of the Stadium View after the game. Sure made us laugh.
Crowd sure cheered everytime they showed a Favre int. on the big screen at Lambeau.

This is what happens when you blow off the entire training camp, lose your best reciever, and don't have two mop up pre-season games to open the regular season when it counts (Cleveland and Detroilet last year).

Hopefully the rust will be shaken off in the next game......

He's not the only player to hold out and feel the effects of it (Revis anyone?) I don't know when these guys are going to wake up and realize there is actually a purpose to training camp and preseason......

Toolmaker,I really can't appoligize for Ted cause he only works for the Packers and I agree with your statement 100% (Favre retired and wanted out of GB. Ted decided he had his QB of the future. When Brett demanded for his release, Ted said sorry. Only a poor business man would have done that.)
Only a poor business man would have done that.)
You got that right ! Ted still should be canned for that bonner!! Only ted would bench a seasoned hall of fame qb that still wanted to play and could play ! Having been a Packer fan all might life, went to the Ice Bowl in 1967,attended close to 50 games since 1960, suffered thru many lean years, bought the fake stock a few years back, went to both playoff games in Packs last Super Bowl Run !
I have met both Bart Starr and Brett !Got the opportunity to fish with many Packers thru the years, Jerry Kramer,Fuzzy Thurston,Bob Long Donald Driver,Ryan Longwell,Mike Hunt,KGB,Laroy Butler,Wm Henderson and family,Gilbert Brown and his bro,Craig Newsome and learned one thing from all of them! The NFL is in the entertainment business and its all about the money$$$!If the books look good and they are selling alot of hot dogs and beer, season tickets ,hats, jackets, fly swatters ,all games sold out, management could care less whos playing and the Super Bowl is just a bonus!! Arod is a very good qb and a good replacement ! Iam still a Brett Favre fan #1 ,he wants to go out on a stretcher or another Super Bowl ! Thanks Brett for all the memories !! Ps , I got all three #4 jerseys for the wall !!

Ubee, I'm in total agreement that pro sports are an entertainment business. It's all about the dollars. I will never understand how people can get so wound up over wins and loses. To me they win "Yippy", they lose, my life goes on. I have my own job and family to worry about.
I don't have the years on that you have. I remember from 1970 on. Didn't get to my first GBP game till 2001 when I moved here from just north of Madison. We had Will Henderson for a neighbor, very, very nice folks. I've had other players for neighbors, but you seldom see them. Both of my daughters are employees of the Packers at the Pro Shop.
My debate is: I don't believe Brett had any intentions of wanting to play for the Packers again. His waiting till training camp was his way of getting out of his contract. It didn't quite go as his script read. None of us will ever understand all his goofing off since then. I'm no hater. I have no reason to. It's for all of our entertainment. He is great for the NFL.
I love the ribbing of the t-shirts just as much as I like ribbing my boss the Bear fan and the multiple Cowboy fans here at work and of course the Viking fans on this site.
I'd would love to buy you a beer if I would happen into B.J. snowmobiling this winter.

"GO PACK GO" and Bucky

Now my finger is tired, time to get back to work.

What you all seem to forget, the NLF is entertainment and Brett is a VERY GOOD entertainer. This whole drama is planned well in advance and the whole sports(media) thrives on it.

This is great fun and I hope my Vikes kick your Packer butts again.

A good start would be moving back to MN and be with your Vikings.
