Conneticut school shooting

We all seam to forget the past. This shooting is not the worst school killing and no Virginia Tech was not the worst. This is not something that is new to our country.
May 18 1927 Bath Michigan 38 children between 7 and 11 years of age. 45 deaths, 58 people were injured.
I just think talking guns is not the answer. People and being able to spot them, treat them. Our mental health system needs more help. But then we have law and lawyers who will say those peoples medical problems can not be brought into the open for others to be vigilant.
I don't want to see our nation become a police state and that alone would not stop everything. Just think how many people die and are injured buy drunk drivers and yet we seam to look the other way. Oh he or she used poor judgment. This is the latest and yes so horrific incident. We live in a very brutal world and I for one do not wish to rely only on police to protect my self and my loved ones.
