Oh to be in my 20's again and tail walking my 89 Indy 500! LOL!!! Never owned a Rev..I just claim to have the shortest test ride on one. About 50' and I said "enough!"

I'm 6'0 and 205 now. Back then I was 6'1" and 170.

I feel your pain...lol...but this is the reason I don't think you want to buy a sled where it handles best via where your body is located on the seat....don't go there. Point & shoot is your best bet in a 136 track. A Vector LTX with eps is your best bet gives you everything you want stock. All sleds are heavy horsing around on trailer....Do you have low profile slides?...Much easier to move front end & slide left & right also slip on ski protectors would help too any sled. Any Xp would fit you well too sdi & etec pretty good 2s engines but only 118 ish hp & you are used to 145ish to 150 4s. That is a lot to give up but if you are ready for 120hp then aok. The Vector will have sooo much more power than any 600 sdi or etec so I just think it is a better match for you coming off RX1 with Apex seat. I had to adjust to Apex XTX engine braking reduction from my Attak so any 2s will feel like freewheeling going into corners. A whole different animal to RX1.

Bob you sounds like me and my next sled is a 2015 Vector LTX. My shoulders ache for the EPS!

Anyone can sidehill an XP if they take the time to get comfortable with it. I always chuckle when I see those comments. I know guys with XP's who will side hill circles all day long around the nay sayers who claim the XP can't sidehill worth a darn.....

IMO...the rx-1 that I rode (a 2004)...had to be about the worst riding and handling snowmobile I have ever ridden...and trust me...I am a yamaha ...and 4 stroke fan.....it pains me to say that...but it's true....however u can't quantify progress if you don't have a starting point...night and day difference between an Rx-1 and an Apex/Attak (and they are in your price range).....but....after this winter...I have to admit...I totally underestimated the Vector LTX with EPS (2012 or newer)...forget everything you THINK you know about yamaha four strokes...they feel lighter, handle better, and even the mono (when set-up for driver weight)...rides far better than any of the pre 2010 yamaha's....they have the anti engine braking....and get excellent fuel economy....and actually are much quicker than I thought...they will run with an apex to 70 mph...they just don't have the top end (mid 90's)....I know everybody has a budget...I have been there....but I would try and wait until you can afford a 2012 or newer vector or 2011 or newer apex...they are much better machines. I need another test drive on an EPS vector ltx...i am almost sold on them...really ....one of the most underrated trail sleds out there.
