Dropping gas prices

Finally hit the $1.75 mark here in the Cincinnati,Oh area! if it only holds out for a couple more months to make traveling a little less of a hit in the wallet.

just think it was $.37 in 1968. And eggs were $1.49 Now gas is $2.75 and eggs are $2.19. Well the chickens havent hooked up with opec yet.

$2.23 per gallon in Marquette, and $1.79 in SE Michigan on Monday 11-17-08. Boys in the U.P. who own gas stations are not working at attracting down state travelers with those margins.

For the last 5 years I have kept track of the prices between these areas, and it has never ranged more than a nickle or dime difference. Seems these companies have decided to "get a piece of the pie" at a price.

Clearly a deterient to travel in the region.

Assuming that the guy who is selling gas at $1.99 as is the guy who is selling gas at $1.79 are all making some money, what does that say about the fellow charging $2.20?? Might be getting whacked by the supplier, but I find it hard to believe he is that disadvantaged.

Cuzzinolaf - I read your post and realize that you and I go through the same scenario. I now see that we're in the same vacinity.

Boondocker - It's called price gouging.
