extended warranty

The 2010 Rush is the first year Polaris made them. The 2011 Rushes have quite a few more improvements over the 2010 for ride and handling. If you are a ditch banger or like to drive hard on big moguls go with the 2010 Rush. If want a smoother ride or do a little off trail, get the 136” track Shift.
.
As far as the extended warrantee, if you put on a lot of miles on every year I would go with it. If you don’t plan on keeping it or maybe ride less then 1000 miles a year, it’s probably is not worth it.

get the 136.
I will say it is a nice warm fuzzy feeling when you do have Warranty when you have been holding it to the bars for the last 10 min down the river and have 20 more min of to the bar riding to the next stop

Shop around for the warranty. Bought my wife a new car this summer, found a Toyota, platinum 6yr 120k warranty online for $750, dealer wanted $2,500 for the same thing. Showed him the site with the lower price and they matched it. You should be able to call a few dealers and ask what they charge, you may find a much lower price.

Take the Rush!!!!!!! Why go backwards on technology. Shift is a good sled, but the IQ platform is old now and cannot match up with the Rush platform.

WHAT??????? go backwards?? have you ever rode these machines? I have and would take the iq over the rush any day.

I hope Pol is watching this site. If anyone chooses a Shift over a Rush their whole marketing plan needs adjustment. I don't blame you for taking the Shift - it is a good sled - but the Rush is the wave of the future or so they say. To each his own. Around here folks would buy new XCSP 7 and 8 hundreds if Pol still made them. There really are those folks around that don't like rider forward and like to be warm and comfy when they ride. The latest and greatest in suspension designs don't matter much if all you do is ride smooth groomed trails.

Congrats on the Shift, I hope you love it!!!

Grub- good point on the xcxp's. A buddy has an '03 xcxp edge 700, and is sticking about $1,500 into it this year. (without labor... I'm doing the work) He just likes the way it rides and handles. Prices on used edge sleds are high, due to a high demand.

Congrats, we need pics! I would still buy a brand new 03-05 xc sp 5-700. Reliability at its best.

I have one pic. And if I could figure out to how upload from my phone I would. And as far as the xcsp's go, I loved my 02 edge. Handled great and lots of power for a 600. I wanted a RUSH but I couldn't justify spending almost 9k out the door for brand new 2010 hold over. BTW Indy, if you or know of someone that has a xcsp, I have a clutch kit for sale. Pretty sure everything is there.
