Farve is OUT!!!

Here's what I think.
It is no secret that Favre does not like training camp. The ankle is an excuse not to be in Mankato. He will be back at the earliest by the last pre-season game, at the latest in October. I believe that the Vikings and Farve have this as their agreement. If not, why didn't the Vikes draft a QB? The QB's available are much better than T-Jack and Rosenfels!

As a Packer fan and former Farve fan i really hope he is done this time. he loses a little respect every time he pulls one of these stunts....

X's 2 I don't think he is done, but I sure wish he was. Enough of the soap opera. I lose a little more respect for him every time I hear his name. He was one of the best, but may be best remembered for all of this b.s.

Favre: I haven't decided on retirement, money not the issue

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Brett Favre said Wednesday he has not decided whether to retire as the Vikings's quarterback.
He said the money he stands to make this season -- perhaps as much as $20 million -- won't influence his decision, but that the health of his surgically-repaired ankle will.
Favre said he had not texted teammates to tell them he was retiring, although tight end Visanthe Shiancoe said Tuesday that some players had received texts messages from Favre.
"That's Shank," Favre chuckled. "That's why I love him."
He threw briefly during football practice at Oak Grove High School.
He did not run, but spent most of the practice tutoring quarterbacks and wide receivers.

Hehehehe, I really think the players are just having fun with this whole situation as much as anyone, playing on the media.

I mean seriously, if you work for ESPN at this point (With all the "breaking news" they had splashed everywhere yesterday), you have to feel a little stupid.

The Vikes just up the offer by $7,000 making his pay $20,000 for next year.

Brett Favre's agent says we should all calm down about whether or not Favre will play for the Vikings this season, because it all depends on an upcoming checkup on Favre's surgically repaired ankle.

According to agent Bus Cook, it's simple: If Favre's ankle heals sufficiently that he can play, then he will play. If the ankle continues to bother him, he won't play. And he has an appointment with Dr. James Andrews next week that should go a long way toward clearing things up.

"As far as Brett is concerned, in spite of reports to the contrary with his contract, everything has to do with his health and ability to contribute to that team and play at a level that he has been accustomed to playing over the years," Cook said in a statement that Jason La Canfora of NFL Network posted on Twitter. "Brett's ankle, which needed surgery since 2007, was surgically repaired this last spring by Dr. James Andrews. Until such time as Brett feels he can play at a level that he expects of himself, no decision will be made. Brett has an appointment to see Dr. Andrews next week and will know more at that time. Brett continues working every day, rehabbing his ankle and will see after his visit with Dr. Andrews what his status is at that time."

So it's all about Favre's ankle. And the smart money is on Favre sitting out a couple more weeks of training camp, and then saying that his ankle feels good enough to go. Expect to see Favre in purple for the Vikings' opener in New Orleans on Sept. 9.

If Favre doesn't come back to play, ESPN has already offered Favre a roll on the Monday Night Football line up.

I read that if he is on the roster when the ball is kicked against New Orleans, the opener, he is GUARUNTEED the full $13M he is signed for at the moment.

So give me one good reason why he won't be on the roster opening day.......He has $13M reasons he will be, starting QB or not.
