Just read about another one tonight, blew a stop sign, hit hit by a truck. The last two weekends I have seen 6 people blow the stop sign across from Krupp's mini mart on trail 3. The stop sign is at Poyhonen road. Morons.

Its sad to see the number of fatalities so far this riding season, its kind of a downer for a hobby that's brings a smile to ones face.

I think there is always quite a few sledder deaths every year but with the slow start to the season in the Midwest and most of the Midwest conditions no good, everybody is trailering to the UP and most of the accidents are happening in a condensed area making it seem like a lot!
I have been noticing a ton of Ohio trucks and of coarse Illinois Wi and mn, Iowa etc.... Up in Twin Lakes when I'm up!
When these accidents are spread out it doesn't seem as many or ya just don't hear about them as much!
Just my opinion!
Like Skylar said we sit at the shack and watch sled after sled blow right through the stop sign up by Kruppsmart every weekend! It's crazy!
But the weekend traffic is overwhelming to witness in the area!
It looks like the bike rally in Sturges on the weekends!
Let's be careful out there folks!
I would like to see you riding next year with your brothers, buddies, wives or whatever!

Last year in Michigan there were 15 fatalities all season. This year we're at 12 already. Definitely something going on, but not sure what. Maybe with this year's crappy conditions and limited riding areas, that when people get the chance to go they're so eager to scratch the itch they just throw caution to the wind? I don't know.

Well it seems pretty obvious. All the trees need to be cut down and put overpasses over all intersections where folks don't like to stop for stop signs.

I'm going with, anyone who walks into a bar with snowmobile gear on, is not allowed to drink any alcohol.

Yeppers I don't trust any sledder at a stop sign. Yesterday while driving in my truck #1 sled hammers it in front of me on road, #2 stops at stop sign, #3 looks & rolls unsure of what to do even tho #2 has stopped. I'm like f this stop the truck don't feel up to killing a fellow sledder today. lol Now 2 & 3 stopped I proceed 1/10 of mile down the road & there is #1 pulled over waiting. Now what was the point of blowing that stop sign??? I know there are pointless stop signs out there in the middle of no where but you have to ask yourself....Do I feel lucky today? Do you?

Bet they are to busy listening to music in their helmets to even hear that logging truck doing 90.
