i've added quite a few things to my sled since the snow melted in march. Here's the list of things i've added/done: Repainted the hood screens a different/better shade of red, painted the nosecone vent red, reriveted the vents back in, added quite a few stickers, new low windshield, C&A Pro Ski's, 3 in. handlebar riser, new red and new red slides...

here's some pics:

C&A Pros ski's were razors by the way. and i got 2 mount kits (1 new 1 used) 2 new tips, 2 used tips, and 2 brand new 10 in. carbides plus the 2 ski's for $75. 3 inch handlebar riser was $5, and the low windshield was $15

i figured 10 would be a little too much but they were free (and brand new) and i'm not gonna spend more money on smaller carbides

Sled looks awesome!

Yep, 10" carbides, and no studs will make for an extremely loose rear end when you are riding. Your front end will stay planted, but the rear end of the sled will be fishtailing all over the place. BUT, you are right, no sense in not using them and spending more money for shorter carbides. The Milwaukee show is usually a great place to find good deals on studs. You know when that is right? LOL.

yup! but if i'm going to stud it, i would need a new track and tunnel support drop bars. when i bottom out, my track rubs on my tunnel. so if i had it studded, it would tear up the tunnel. and my sled has over 7000 miles on it and has the original track on it and it isn't in the greatest of shape. but,

i love fishtailing!!!

Have you thought about the free changes? Either stiffen your front track shock or let out your limiter straps a hole or two. that should get some weight transfer going twords the rear!!

That should make it fun for your first ride. Slam on the brakes and ummmm, well, I hope you plan to wear a cup. =)
