Yesterday 20 mile morning solo ride, 70 mile ride with the fam, and 20 mile night ride with the woman for dinner. All in all trails held up just fine! Yes, it refroze and the corners are very icy, anything that was in the sun and was getting slushy froze as well. Be careful and enjoy the last few days of great riding! Looks like it’ll all be over by the end of the week. Heading out shortly for a solo morning ride then will do a 50 mile loop with the fam before heading home.

Ran along hwy 8 on all freshly groomed this morning to Monico and back burning the last bit of gas out of the beater Indy! Then, once the little man and woman woke up, we did a fantastic 50 mile loop east of Crandon. Little man did fantastic this weekend and keeps looking more comfortable every mile we ride. Looks like you found a nice riding area over there Indy. Trails look beautiful and thanks for the wonderful pictures!

Got to take my daughter out this weekend. Doesn't happen too often. Didn't ride a ton of miles but it's not about the miles. Had a great time. We rode primarily SE Oneida, Forest and Northern Langlade. Overall, all the trails were fair to good. Had a great time but I'm afraid this is it for our trails this year. Maybe 1 more UP trip this season, we'll see.

Indy, how is the traffic over in the forest/florence area? I hate riding in Vilas but always love exploring new areas. Obviously need the good snow like this year, but those trails look pretty dang nice. The less trafficked areas can hold snow and good conditions so much longer.

Way less traffic. Definitely not UP type scenery, but the clubs that way groom as often as Vilas, but without the traffic. Yes, they often are a bit behind Vilas (and obviously the UP) when it comes to snow. There is not much in the way of lodging over there, so that’s why you don’t run into huge crowds. Majority of the trails are wider, less twisty similar to the UP, but there are still certain trails/areas that are “Vilas” tight/twisty.

It's a very good mix of grades, forest roads and tight twisties. Clubs do a great job grooming as Indy indicated. I tried to ride today up in Spread Eagle and the trails are so hard / tight I was overheating. First time that has ever happened to me. Installing scratchers today and will try again tomorrow and see how that goes.

Pete...you will be happy to know I'm finally getting them installed :)
