romo was one of the most underated Qbs of this era. sucks to go out like that, but good for him at least he has his health. he seemed to just get smoked with the most cringe worthy hits week in and week out, so prolly a wise choice. bet he will be good in the booth.

Not sure what cutler will do he may hang them up too. or one last hurrah in houston

It is now or never in Houston so I would think they would at least talk to Cutler see what he wants for a year or 2? Big bucks are over for Jay not sure he would play for $10 million but no team will pay big money for him those days are over.

Romo never would have made it thru the season without an injury and I think he knew it so TV booth is a good place for him all his prior injuries will drag him down as he ages. Tony always made the most of his abilities and took some horrible hits.

Da Bears blew the lid off the draft with that Trubisky pick.
Wow I don't know about that giving up what they did to grab a guy with 13 career starts for North Carolina. Not like you're picking Peyton Manning this guy is a complete unknown.
Shouda took the kid from Stanford. He's sure bet, Trubisky not so much.

WTH are the bears doing?????
A 3rd, a 4th, 2018 3rd, to move up one spot!?!? From a team that wasn't going to pick Trubisky anyway???

I thought Pace was supposed to be smart? A good GM? He's a complete idiot....

I'll give Pace the benefit of doubt that he must of know 100% for sure the niners were gonna take Trubisky. He had to of. Just had to of had inside knowledge.

I remember vividly arguing how valuable draft picks r with a few peeps on this board u don't trade 1st round picks for the likes of Sam Bradford just to say u have a QB. Well guess what guys that fleecing the Eagles did on the Vikings they just cashed it in with the 14 the pick in the draft. All the while the Vikings sit with no 1st round pick, still no QB and now no AP. I told u guys they were idiots 8 months ago and now they look like clowns. Who's the GM for Minnnesita.? Speilman?? He couldn't run my fantasy team.

Yeah, if I was the niners, I would have made them believe I was taking the QB too. And then legally steal from them right in plain sight....

At least the bears didn't give up next years 1st rd pick too. Its likely to be in the first 3 picks again.

It wasn't that the bears were fearful of the niners taking trubinsky per say, they were fearful of the niners trading the pick to another team to take trubinsky. the bears were not the only team trying to move into the 2 spot. unfortunately they had to pay that much to move up 1 spot, but if its your guy ya gota do it.

Pretty shocking pick tho, no one saw this coming. bears kept that secret well. Lots of dispointed bears fans, its a boom or bust pick. and will either make or break ryan pace as a GM.

everyone knows you need a QB in this league to win and win consistently. I have no idea about trubinsky but im gona have to trust pace's descisions. I hope he did not make the pick out of desperation.

to quote pace on the pick...

“If we want to be great, you just can’t sit on your hands," Pace said. "There are times when you’ve got to be aggressive and when you have conviction on a guy, you can’t sit on your hands. I just don’t want to be average around here, I want to be great and these are the moves you have to make.”

It will be interesting to see how this all works out with Trubinsky. Now the Bears need receivers for him to throw to. Definitely a risky move but the Bears needed some life, they have been a non competitive and lackluster team for too long.

Since the Bears most likely wont be in the playoff hunt I would love to see Trub put in several games to get some experience towards the end of the year. Its a great scenario for a new QB, he gets some experience, not a ton of expectations (for this year at least) the Bears get too see what he has and what he needs to work on. If he stinks it up I won't be critical of him, its a learning year on a talent starved team.

I am one of those "peeps" that didn't mind the Bradford acquisition. the Vikes were posed to be major contenders last year and when Bridgewater went down so did their chance at being a viable contender. With Peterson getting older but still useful they at least had a good shot at the playoffs. The injury to Peterson derailed all shot at that. Im trying to think of a team that lost its starting QB and starting running back that had a good season. Also, the deal isn't done. If Bradford has a descent season this year he can still be traded for more picks in the future which could be parlayed into a better team. As of last year, no i did not turn out for the vikes, but I am not a guy to sit on my hands with a good team and just quit on a season.

this guy is so raw the last thing you want to do is throw him into the fire and wreck him mentally.
Let him watch all 16 games next year,,, they'll suck,,,, and they can get another high draft pick then let him compete for a starting spot the following year. No rush at all.

I definitely don't want him playing much but a few 4th quarters here and there wouldn't hurt. I hope he's not that mentally weak since he won't be competing for a playoff spot or really a.starting spot. Definitely baby step him to a starting role next year.

Bradford is entering year 8 I think of his career, he ain't getting any better. He wouldn't command anything more than a 6-8th round pick.
He's a fringe NFL starter. That's it.
The Eagles schooled the Vikings. The guy the eagles got might be a bust or might be a HOF'er. We don't know, one thing we do know is Bradford isn't going to the HOF.
