the helmet plastics do fall of starting at day 1 but they are the nicest lid on the warmer days and the coldest in those below 0 days.
I am prob going to buy a new on this yr the one I have now has been in service for to long. I don't like that u don't get 2 sets of cheek pads any more.
I have seen a f4 that was on my buds head when it hit a tree shocking how destroyed it is but beyond a few min of unconsciousness he is still alive and kicking

I still don't know why cat sold there right to use gortex to klim yrs ago.
the cat stuff backcountry was the best oem out. now just average at best.
I have more coats than I know what to do with but my go to jacket is still my pisspounded dirty old gortex cat boondocker jacket. I grab it over my motor fist/klim/new cat/coat most every time

the Guy who took over cat years ago as Pres (about Burants departure year) has made some really stupid moves in every aspect of the Company....advertising, the market share and almost every other thing that makes a company move forward.....

I agree towomey stepping down was not a good thing but no one can work foe ever. but worse was putting a guy in who could care less about the sport and has no understanding of the sport .
he came from home depot and GE before that always in a roll of trimming fat .Claude can run a corp but with out any passion for the product it will just stall out.
I know they have lost some great engineers over the past few yrs
the one of the best clutching guys in the biz moved to poo and we can see what happed after that .
this new guy takes over and starts pinching hard in the racing departments. come on really cat was buit on racing and u defund the crap out of it?
one can only hope home depot wants him back and Darling can step up at least he cares about the pruduct

i keep telling everyone...I grew up on Yammahahhahhas..........I went cat because they had the sled to beat in 03-07 for trail sled and in 08 the top sled on the mtn was the m chasi.......I am "what best" kinda guy........people seem to put me on the Cat thing and that I am not sure why......I hope I don't get tagged as Poo guy when I get my next sled.....

I have owned all brands last 2 sleds have been Apex so everyone tags me as a Yammie guy but I'm really a 4s guy & look at all 4s brands. If I find a better 4s mousetrap I'm there the entire brand loyal thing scares me & don't understand it soooo limiting. Poo is not a consideration no 4s in pro ride so nothing for me.

Yeah, I guess I did ask for it, didn't I? :) I should have kept the last 2 lines out of it. I'm not sure that would have changed things much, but I was an instigator.

Back at ya Lenny. BTW, where have you been? Haven't seen you posting lately but I think you said on one post you were out of state. Back home now?

I first headed to Illinois to see family, than to Virginia to see my son and his wife as he returned from a nine month deployment out to sea, stayed there a few days and than back to Illinois for a few more days, Finally back home again, almost 2 weeks total but it was a real good time. best time was watching the USS Harry Truman come in. I have pics I may post soon.

Any of you guys notice that no mfg offers a leather suit anymore? Still hard to beat wind breaking effect of a leather suit. They are heavy though. Klim makes good suits. Especially like the zippers. Not impressed with the Klim gloves I have tried over the years. Fingers get cold. Maybe my fingers are wearing out. What is the current best glove out there according to you guys?

I bought Klim gloves this year too & thought the gloves were a me/too product but it was a very cold winter. Plenty of gloves on the net but not so many at dealers to touch feel & try on.
What is the current best cold air glove out there is an excellent question?

I am sure he was real glad to have u hanging around the house after 9 mo at sea. were he and the wife disappearing a lot lol

I also have like 8 pr of gloves and my fav are the true adventure .
but when it is real cold U cant beat a pr of mittens or at minn a set of muffs for the bars.
on most days I find my self brining 2 good pr of gloves most days one for the colder morning 1 pr for the ride out and a pack of disposable jersy brown gloves for the rest of the day

lol,,,Dan and Julie headed home to get out of his uniform and we headed to the hotel till dinner time. They had some 4 hrs together and if he's like hid dad that was about 3.75 hrs to much,,,lol

has any one found a true all day dry glove .
not a hero snow all day glove but a stuck a lot all day dry.
at best any I have owned are 1/3 day at best

Nope....I pac 2 sets plus a emergency set.......first set usually last all day. ....pull ski all day type snow I end up using second to get back when its colder and less blood flowing...first pair looks used second looks brand nee and 3rd dont come out bag unless emergency and cant say thats been needed
