Half empty Bristol?????

Cat man, I liked the old racing also. But I like today's racing too. Yea, racing is more of a team effort that ever before, but the driver still has to drive the car. I enjoy see several cars on the lead lap instead of 1, 2 or half a dozen like the good ole days. To me it adds a little more excitement to the race than having someone win by laps instead of seconds. I can understand why people like the racing of old, I do too. I just like the racing of today also. Car of tomorrow, car of today, car of five minutes ago, JJ, JR, Kyle, Carl, Danica, Chase or no Chase and what ever else you can think of, I could care less about any of that just enjoy the racing.

700 - thanks for the cooling, snowy image...that, apparently, I won't get to see again until next December. Grrrrrrr...

I'm not trying to say it all sucks...I just miss the good ol days that, really, weren't that long ago! I miss Darlington, Rockingham, Hickory...I miss beating and banging...and probably my biggest problem? I miss Dale Earnhardt and the old school drivers like him...

old school is way better then this so called new crap that Brian France wants to shove down our throats and BEATIN AND A BANGIN WAS THE BEST KIND OF RACING EVER !!!!!! NOT THIS POLITICAL CORRECT NOT TOUCHING EACH OTHER TOO MUCH RACING Boys have at it HA HA HA HA todays racers don't have a clue of what that means or we would be seeing it a whole lot more for example Carl Edwards would of took out Ugly Mug to win that race on Sunday and there would be more paybacks to bottom line though is NASCAR needs to listen to US FANS and they are not and I am with you on missing the late great Dale Sr when he spoke NASCAR listened He was the only driver that had the privlege to call up Brian France Jr at 6am and vent what he wanted to and most of the time Brian and Mike Helton listened to him If he was still here there would be NO Chase and NO Toyota in NASCAR Nascar is in trouble and they better hurry up and fix it before it's too late Maybe the empty seats at Bristol will wake them up cause it's going to get worse before it gets better California this weekend will tell alot more cause attendance at that track has been going down the last few years I say take away that race period and give it back to Darlington where it never should of left Southren 500 on Labor day back to the track where it belongs period !!!! Also if they lower the races to 400 miles they better lower the ticket prices drivers whine way too much about oh my I have to drive 500 miles man be pambe thats your job shut up and do it your getting paid the big bucks to do it to ok I am done venting for now may be back on this this gets my blood boiling have a great day all of you to !!!!

Don't ya just love the nfl theme music being played during nascar events on fox, just another way their screwing up racing. 48 years old been a big fan my entire life until the last few(5) seasons now I find something else to do with my sundays. NASCAR F#$%ED UP NASCAR

The demo derby aspect of the old Bristol was the charm of that race. Remember "Bristol Buggies"? The old Bristol slugfest required a different attitude and approach to the race. Now it is just a smaller circle of cars turning left, sort of a NASCAR Lite, if you will.

Well one thing is for sure, it seems like everyone has a different definition of racing. All I know is that I enjoy watching and it give me an excuse for not doing anything on Sunday afternoon. Sorry Honey but the Race is on.;)

I dont watch nascar anymore because every race there is a new rule and toyota is part of it.Can someone find me a toyota that is a PUSHROD V 8?They dont make none.Nascar was pure american power.Not anymore.

A few thoughts I've had on making NASCAR more exciting again:

- Make everybody qualify every week. No top 35 free pass. Same tires and engine start the race. Allow adjustments before race, but no parts changed after qualified.
- Let the last 6 spots in field be determined by 25-50 lap last qualifier race day before main.
- Shorten most of the races to 300-400 miles. Make up for shorter races by adding "passing" and "position" points. No more riding along until the end of the race. Want max points? Gotta run up front the whole race, not just the end.
- Dump the road courses. Run 'em on dirt 2-3 times a year instead! :)
- Get rid of the chase.

Thats why they signed a multi year deal to run Ford motors..........

can you show me a 5 spd 358ci v8 holly 4brl 850hp ford taurus with a cromoly tube frame 5 point harness btw the toy v8 has a variable valve timing cam so yes it is a push rod v8 just more advanced than 1920 technolagy also think toy is shiping v8s from from Jap no from TX.the 1st yr of toy in the trucks steped up the game

Im not here to argue!!! Im just saying that toyota does not belong in nascar.Im old school and loved nascar for good old fashioned racin.I cant even watch drag racing because toyota is in that.We need a set of balls and have to say NO every once in a while.Wait the dollar means more than fans.BYE NASCAR

If one driver ( Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson or whoever) drove someone away from the sport, can't see how they were much of a fan to begin with.
