I agree, but when Dad gets to the gate Saturday morning with his 2 teenage boys and the ticket lady says that'll be $90 please, to go to a snowmobile swap meet, I don't think dad is going to be too happy... I have no problem with a $5 price increase but when you're forced to pay a 2 day submission that's just kind of wrong IMO.

I hear Ya Indy....expensive day for Dad & difficult to get return on that 90 bucks...maybe better just to save the $90 & buy stuff from local dealers this year. Lots of Haydays pavement installed this year & that costs money..... maybe that is where the money is going & reason for price increase?

I think Wausau will do just fine this year. Haydays is a little pricey and a hassle. $60 (2) to get in, $100 Camping, $120 for Gas to get there and back. Plus everything is probably the same as last year.

I really can't think of one item I have to buy and Fishing is suppose to be the best looking at the Lunar Tables.

So its time to head to the Lake.

Leaving Friday for an early start to the so called beginning of winter. It is one of the things to look forward to in the year. Didn't make last year for the fist time several years. You can always find a few deals on things that off set the cost increase.

I agree with this statement and no I am not a fan of the price increase but I was there last night and there was a lot of work going on (setting up booths, dropping off garbage cans, getting the track set up, cutting the grass at the ATV demo area and so on and so on). All this stuff cost money....to take that raw chunk of land and turn it into what it is for two days is a huge undertaking. The law enforcement bill alone for the weekend has to be a huge chunk (cops out on the streets directing traffic, cops on the grounds, cops driving around picking up cash).

One thing I want to remind all is if you don't like the admission price or some thing else don't bitch to the people in the booths, most of these people are volunteers from other local clubs that are there to help. Find a barron and let them know your thoughts (usually they are wearing a nice button down short sleave shirt, with there names on it).

I see that the $30.00 gets you in Friday and Sat. which isn't too bad for them that are doing the 2 days but I don't like them punishing the ppl who can only make it one day by charging $30.00 ....

Why not $15.00 a head per day?.....or $20 for Saturday and still offer the 2 day for a discounted $30.

I brought up going again... And once again I'm living in the backyard with my one eyed dog and a hot plate. What is she gonna do when she figures out I bought a new sled?
$30 seems like cheap fun to me. Just my $.02

I quit asking for both yrs ago. just buy what I want she knows I am not going to go out and buy anything I cant afford to drop down the cash for . she knows I know what the crap she hordes cost and it is best to not bring it up.
I was planning on buying a new trailer this week but the pile I had stashed for that just went to a new ac/furnace . that is the stuff I hate spending my play money on

All my play money went for a roof on my rental house, 8k. Damn CertainTeed organic shingles, looked 50 years old in like 10. Those SOB's only gave me like $800 for them out of the class action suit. The house builders were no help either. Wausau homes. I was like you picked the shingles you should at least set me up with a roofer on your dime. But no they were like its certain teed warranty is all, we can give you the info. I know that if I build another house it wont be one of theirs

So your trailer is no longer for sale? I had my eye on it in the event it's not cost effective to fix mine. But I'm 30 days from figuring that out.

My wife and I were figuring out we've gone to Hay Days together for 18 yrs in a row. My 14 yr old daughter always comes with us now but my 13 yr old son stays at home as he doesn't like all the walking around. Yes, it is expensive, we spend $90 getting in, $100 camping, probably $60 or so in gas, lord knows what we spend when we get inside. I think my daughter spends about $30 just on cheese curds and I know my wife and I spend at least that on adult beverages, along with what we buy from swaps or vendors. But we get together with friends, both camping and inside the event, and we have a great time. Its basically one of our planned weekend camping trips each yr, so we'd spend money either way, just maybe not as much. And we look forward to it probably more than any other camping trip. Its fun to be there with my daughter as she just loves it.

I heard that also that deals are better on Sat, but seems odd to me why not have okay prices on sat, and start giving deals on sun and late sunday when you know how much is still left that you don't want to pack up and haul home.

I told my wife "I can spend money on toys, or I can spend money on women and booze"

I have a lot of toys. Oh and I'm going to haydays.

The deals may be there Sunday but the selection is much less.
