haydays

Hard to think about snow when it's 90* with a 75* dew point.....

I managed to already piss of my wife, talking about the upcoming season. It's never too warm for me. "You love sledding more than me?". She asks, I hestitated to answer a moment too long. So I'm on a camping trip in the backyard now.

That is funny as $#!+ LMFAO I was in garage all day. Got the daughters Indy inside, (it stores along side of garage) to pull the carbs and clean. And check over so if I need parts from haydays next week. So my wife is like "what are you doing?" When I told her she was "you've got to be kidding". I'm not camping out though. And she still made dinner.

Chicago is a great town, we just need to get rid of the politicians here. Snobuilder you'll be fine visiting, just watch yourself if you see roving thugs walking around they love to snatch cell phones or ask you for money before snatching your wallet out of your hand. If you need advice on where to go or what to see hit me with a private message.

Thanks chitown sledder...I surely respect you folks south of the border....Way different lifestyle than up here in cheddarville.....You folks do well getting along in those tight living conditions ...been deep in yur territory a few times and was treated well .

I'd be there as often as possible too if it was close. Haydays is the Sturgis a sleddin.

thing about riders is we travel in relatively tight quarters. I run in to guys at hay days all the time I have met in WY CO MT MI . kind of like when I head down to Napes FL in the winter I see more people I know from MN walking around there every day than I do back in MN

Well I probably wouldn't go that far, like I posted closeouts and Ebay so I am pretty cheap. Think about it, sharing a ride to get there. That should free up enough out of your tight wallet to swing it.

Tight wallet? My wife would be ROFL if she heard you say that.

BTW and FWIW - I've never been there so I have no idea what it's like. Have ZERO interest in the swap stuff.

zero interest I guarantee U would find something in the swap to peek your interest even if it is not something for sale .

Costs haven't gone up to justify another $5 increase just to walk in the door. To take the family and their friends is another $30 plus before the first French fry gets stuff in any ones face. Time to get real. We will not be going this year. And no I don't have a 30K truck, etc. etc. All my stuff together isn't work 5K. What's going to happen when we get real inflation. Goes up $20 each year? I went Sunday last year for $10, that's plenty to just walk in the gate. If you can't do it for that time to cut back on something. Stopped going to Sno-cross too when they want $30 for one day. Have fun, maybe see you next year.

Gas is about a dollar a gallon cheaper than last year. You just saved that $5 increase in the ticket price when you filled your tank. Now stop complaining and go to Haydays!

I'm just grateful people take the time to put on events like this. It takes a lot of work and effort for those behind the scenes:) I know it doesn't ease the pain of paying to get in but I'd rather have them and pay then not have them at all. It takes great planning and money to put on such an event. Just my humble opinion:)

I agree, but when Dad gets to the gate Saturday morning with his 2 teenage boys and the ticket lady says that'll be $90 please, to go to a snowmobile swap meet, I don't think dad is going to be too happy... I have no problem with a $5 price increase but when you're forced to pay a 2 day submission that's just kind of wrong IMO.

really guys ? u roll around in 30k trucks yanking 20k in sleds on 5k trailers dressed like a power ranger in 1000 bucks in gear spending hundreds in gas alone for a weekend. but that 30 bucks is where u draw the line? forget the tens of thousands the barons give in grants to clubs for projects every yr . forget it is the undisputed sled event of the yr that 30 man tough to swing LMFAO

I drive a 14 year old truck, pull a 15 year old trailer. Might be the last year i go!

But guys will spend $100 sitting in the bar drinking telling stories. I am not saying you I am saying people in general. It costs money to run the event with insurance, logistics and all the other headaches associated with it. I love it and enjoy it so for that I go.

Nope, never have, never will.

Honestly. Haydays is as good as it gets. They have all the manufacturers there. All the biggest aftermarket products AND the guys who make the parts so you can get the best technical info. Atv testing. Fantastic grass drags (although I've never seen them...I go for the swap), calendar girls, every top brand of clothing you can try on all in the same place to compare, people to haul your swap items out for you, bathrooms placed where you need them, an info booth to help you get around, a large beer garden and racing right next door, and the BEST swap meet for snowmobiles in the world. And yet..people still complain. The snowbarons bring this all to you...in one place...at one time..
and yet you still complain. Some people will never be satisfied. Yes...I get it...if you go on Saturday as a family of four it's more than last year. SO GO SUNDAY!!!

Do we need a cold snap to get the whining and crabbiness out? Really...this is the best show there is and the Snowbarons work hard to improve every year. I've paid more for a 2 hour concert that wasn't 1/10 as entertaining. And...yes...I've dropped $100 going out with the guys...this show is a bargain of you look at all that you get. Heck, I've gone both days for 10 years and still never feel like I see everything..
I'm told there's racing but never make it there to see it.

If you guys can't or won't spend money for this type of event then you are in the wrong sport...........

You want to dance to the music then you have to pay the fiddler....

You sound like the guy that drops $14,000 for a new sled then wants to put the cheapest oil you can find because it costs to much per gallon.
