Walmart side lot, hwy 63 and 77, locals and drivers drop there. Or east on 77 by trail 31 the trail map says there is suppose to be a park and ride, but i couldn't find it. If anyone could give me info on that I would appreciate it.

You could always drop in at rice lake on tuscobia and head east.May be little thin at first but from couderay east was great last weekend.you can then take may of the spur trails off from that and head north.just checked and says tuscobia groomed and good.would save you hour driving or so.nice large parking lot.A nice ride would be to take tuscobia to couderay then 9 north to flowage then could go any direction.you could take 9 all the way north till you get to 5 then five to moose lake then 5 south all the way down to tuscobia and tuscobia back to truck.we rode this last weekend and was real nice.9 was a little bumpy to the north along hwy 77.

Spider Lake Lodge is about 15 miles east of Hayward. I usually see a few people parking and riding from there and it is a great spot to hit nice trails. There are a lot of trail intersections on that chain of lakes that can take you in any direction you want to head. Would likely have to pay a small fee to park there, but I would recommend it over parking closer to town as this would also keep you away from the trails closer to town that get pretty rough from the weekend traffic.

I believe in and out of Hayward is beat. Sounds like if you head east it gets better. Anyone comment on this? Thinking clam lake area

From what I heard over the weekend is park falls and north got hit pretty hard as well !!!! you might want to call a few taverns along the trail system over that way WE NEED MORE SNOW PERIOD !!!!!!

firefighter1, I got first hand knowledge of the area headed towards Clam Lake from the south last night:

"Winter got 4". Rode up to Clam Lake and there's enough snow. Met up with the groomer and it was excellent :)"

This is from a friend that lives on Connors Lake south east of Winter.
