I will admit that when my daughter asked to join the high school boys wrestling team I was completely against it. I gave her 2 weeks, fast forward to Senior year. Nationally Ranked, 3X All American. It's taken us to Colorado Springs, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Des Moines, Fargo. Multiple full ride scholarship offers. This was not on my radar 3 and a half years ago.

I have helped other wrestlers get to meets, have watched coaches who don't know my daughter step into her corner when no coach with her at Regional and National events. She has found friends for life. The kind you really want them to find.

Her high school coach, and assistant coach deserve so much credit. They never told her no. Never said your just a girl, have treated her like 1 of the guys and worked her like a dog. She took every bruise and kept on taking more. The guys on the team instead of ignoring her decided she was their little sister and if she was going to survive she needed to know how to beat the guys.

I heard years ago someone say wrestling is one big family. I didn't believe them, I was wrong.
My son wrestlers and he goes to a very small school. I would say about 1/3 of the team is girls and I would not take them lightly. A young lady at 106 just took home 3rd place at Illinois state wrestling meet, she took the champion to the thrid period and lost 3-0.....shes a freshman. Without a doubt, wrestling is one of the most difficult sports out there, its all on you! Congrats to your daughter!

Well snowblower just got a good workout. Looks like we got some icing towards end that cut down on our totals here east of Appleton.

Snows have begun to intensify here in the Keweenaw. + 12f with very fine flakes which would indicate a little dryer air, nonetheless, the snowfall has picked up a bit. I guess we'll see how it all pans out.

Yeah, mine too. Heavy, wet 8-9 inches here in Neenah. Surprised to see some of the local trails open this morning! Winnebago County zones 2, 4A and 6 are open at this time. Below Zero tonight, good for a late season base while it lasts.

News says 17" in White Bear Lake right down from me. Whole area got anywhere from 13-20". Its not totally off from what they were saying, just took awhile for it to rile up last night. South Metro down to Owatonna definitely got hit the hardest with some low 20s. I'm riding this weekend!

Thanks for the update DF!

It was frustrating to watch Athelstane getting a bunch early yesterday and SE didn't get it started til later.

I guess 9 is a good starter and Monday's will add a bunch AND then end of next week,,,,WOWZER!

Well, it was a bust here, I haven't put a stick in it yet, but I will guess 4" max. I know there are other areas that did get more, but, just how much more I can't say. I know Negaunee area in Marquette County has 13" of fresh snow from today. I think the low snow area where John is, Jacobsville had more than we did here for a change, primarily I believe due to the ENE winds. Oh well, I wasn't in the mood to have to plow & shovel more than once anyway. I will hit it tomorrow, hopefully it will be warmer than +9f.

Looks like a solid 10” here in the last 24 hours which puts Florence around 16” on the ground and Believe it or not still snowing off and on.

I will likely plow tonight, guessing I have about 4-5” total from the last couple of days. Looks like more white stuff on Monday

I plowed today, figured it was worth moving the 4-5" we ended with, no winds, but still cold. A lot of ice underneath this stuff, could probably skate on some of the areas. Dangerous walking in many areas.
For Fun, I played with some model runs, here is what it currently shows me, Monday Euro shows 2.1", GFS shows 2.2", Tuesday Euro shows 6.6", GFS shows 12.1". It's anybody's guess as to how much we will actually get, this is what the tools show me, also, I am no meteorologist. I still feel changes in my bones, we'll just have to wait & see....
