Indy, try Hanna Trl. Supply, 414-762-7950. Or, HannaRV.com. We had a hydraulic/surge/disk brake parts issue that they knew exactly whats parts we needed to update the trailer. Had the parts in 2 days. Very good to work with, and thorough in your satisfaction. Good luck!!!

You probly have a dexter axle, they are used on many trailers. A booklet with axle specs came with my trailer new. Check your paperwork.

Always identify your axle if possible, manufacturer, and model/capacity. Dexter, and Reliable are the 2 most common axles used. The trailer manufacturer can help with this, as there are many different brands of brake manufacturers used on trailer axles. I thought ours was a Dexter, but turns out it was not. However the folks at Hanna figured it out in short order, and had the exact parts we needed. Eastern Marine also good to work with.

My brother and I have a stealth inline, about same age too. we were able to get the brake assembly at NAPA. They had 2 in stock at the time. We had to order the other two though. If anyone else has a stealth, check your brakes. My brother replaced ours, but they were in very bad shape. the back plate was a bitch to get off though, you can grind off the old bolts or use a cutting torch.

X3 Eastern marine where you can buy the whole damn assembly cheaper than you can buy most pads. Then just remove 4 bolts via grinder or flame wrench from the backing plate, snip or unplug wires. You can buy new Drums or if in spec can also just be turned. Make sure to get new mounting bolts as most hardware stores wont carry em...

Yes, we have disk brakes. Reworked them this year. They work very well, and are much easier to keep from rusting/corrosion. Wash under trailer good, and spray with WD40.

What brand did you go with?? How much?? Drums are the worst. We have an R&R 24' V-Nose all aluminum enclosed. Im thinking disc brakes on front axle will be sufficient.

The Triton trailer we have came with hydraulic/surge disk brakes new. How ever there seem to be retrofit disk brake kits on the market as to replacing drum brakes. I will tend to think it would take putting a hydraulic brake system on the trailer, if it's not already hyd brakes. This is not hard to do. I would get with a good trailer brake parts supplier as there are many different trailer brake/parts manufacturers out there. You will need to know the specs. on your trailer, and type/brand axle. And yes drum trailer brakes suck big time. hard to keep from rust/corrosion. Junk!!! We were very happy working with Hanna Trl. Supply 414-762-7950, or HannaRV.com. Good luck!!!
