U sayin doo has a long block program is like me saying hows ur diamond drive doing?
Never heard of such a thing. To my understanding that was for series 3 engines.
I kno the anti doo people will try to derail a positive thread about new stuff as usual
I wish Poo had such a program. It would have helped me out at one time.
I'm not anti doo at all. It's their owners that annoy me.
U do realize I do own a 15 doo far from my first and not my lastI kno the anti doo people will try to derail a positive thread about new stuff as usual
Part of me wonders tho if they planned these "leaks" and have something bigger to unveil tomorrow
As for the 4s Doo crowd, I know a good handful of 1200 Doo owners that are salivating for a 1200 turbo version but I just don't see it happening. Doo has made it clear they are a 2 stroke company first and foremost.
I'm not sure why making the best 4 strokes, and best 2 strokes makes them a 2 stroke company first and foremost?
The 4S Doo crowd is quite happy, though yes, many would like a 150hp + 4s. But, that would cut 800 Etec sales substantially so it probably won't happen.

Whats with the scoop next to the riders right knee? Need more air by silencer sure points to you kno what.
I guess unless the intake is now on the right side of sled

Yep, every brand has had their time in the number one spotlight. Undecided people follow the herd and change brands all the time. Kudos to the long term hardcore Doo guys though. Not the recent ones that jumped on the bandwagon, but the hardcore guys that rode Doos back when no one else could understand why. They finally get to bore people with their number one bravado.Same here. Don't know why but it's my experience in this industry I find many people that own the number one brand try to rub everyone else with the I'm better than you attitude. I saw the same though when other brands were on top too.
very good post, Doo does a great job of low center of gravity which results in a very stable ride. I like their 1200 very much so. I don't like it better or worse the Yamaha motor, just different. The Doo 1200 4s motor was designed by McLaren, the Indy Car racing/auto company. When it first came to BRP it did have much more HP. It was de-tuned with the long intakes and the single throttle body. Even in modified form it still has that lag or hesitation because of the long intake track. I see this as a two fold situation. Did Doo want it to out perform their e-tec 800? Also it was a design issue with fitting the motor in the chassis with the proper center of gravity. Ski-Doo has done a fine job at getting their machines to handle well and I think they learned their center of gravity physics back in the day with the rotary valve Rotax 2s motor. With the intake so low where the rotary valve was and the carbs down to match the intake, it had to be mounted higher in the chassis and caused severe body roll. That's why those sweet running rotary motors went away in lue of the reed valve 2s motors. It came at the same time when the first Rev chassis rolled out.
