Hey, what happened to the forecast questioning post?

Here I woke up this morning and all the models were verifying the forecast I had yesterday (snow in the central Midwest vs. the southern Midwest) and was feeling pretty good that after all the hulllabaloo of yesterday, I might be vindicated and then notice thread is gone.

Shoot-ta.

Oh well, the storm has not hit yet and things could still change, but at this point- central Midwest looks to get hit this weekend, not the south.

John, I didn't do it ! Just make it snow , will ya ???? I'm up early due to the sever beating I took riding our local corn field trails. Only so much no base riding I can tolerate down here, I'm getting old and pounding my body & machine. ( @#$%&#$ )

Who needs the UP when you have a touring sled, live in Central Wisconsin and have 10 inches on the ground.

Personalized forecast for Indianapolis? LOL. Our meteorologist on the news said they are getting gray hair over this monster.

Smart Thinking!

Sounds like someone had a lot of time to think on that thread! I'm sure they're very humbled right now! Think Snow and Ride On! Oh before I forget, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone on JD!

It was an entertaining read and a few laughs. We have snow here and I did get out and ride a bit, so I am not all wound up about anything. We could use more snow because the stuff we have down now packs down to virtually nothing.

He should of just said our over paid weather people say the storm is tracking south and you say its going to stay north. Lets just wait and see who is most accurate. I was hoping it was going a little south to ride around the house. It sounded like he was a little kid just saying your wrong. I just want snow have a truck and trailer will travel.

Red Sky

We had a Red Sky this morning, sailors take warning.....? I certainly hope to see some significant snowfall here in the Keweenaw soon. Everyone around us has been getting a fair share of Uncle LES, I know it's still early & we will get ours yet, just getting antsy. It has been colder than usual for this time of year, which has been good for freezing the wet area's, we actually got down to -1 briefly last night. Now it's time to put the icing on the cake, "Heere Bleezard Bleezard!"- Mezz

I talked to a friend of mine who lives in Thamesford, Ontario. They have 2 1/2 feet on the ground and over 3 feet in London. The 401 was closed. However it was lake effect and his sister who lived 35 miles west had only a dusting.

haha looks like NOAA looked at JD's forecast and changed their own already:

THIS TRACK IS CONSIDERABLY FARTHER NORTH THAN EARLIER
FORECASTS...HENCE THERE REMAINS SIGNIFICANT UNCERTAINTY REGARDING
THE TRACK AND STRENGTH OF THIS WEEKEND STORM SYSTEM.

THE CURRENT TRACK WOULD RESULT IN MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL INTO SOUTHEAST
WISCONSIN...HOWEVER IT COULD POTENTIALLY ALLOW WARMER AIR TO SURGE
INTO SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN...WHICH WOULD RESULT IN A MIXTURE OF
PRECIPITATION FOR A TIME...

sorry if copying their forecast here is not allowed, I just wanted to prove the point that most times John is right say 4-6 days out, and all the other usually "adjust" their forecast once the system get close.

I will say fox 6 in Milwaukee, which is never even close to right, has actually been right on par with the storm track for a day or 2 already. Musta been reading on here.

I was just reading the forecast discussion on NOAA for zip code 53094, and it is funny as heck! They DONT HAVE A CLUE where this storm is going. One comment used is "raising the white flag". LMAO.

Im not trying to disrespect anybody or any weather outlet here, I just think its funny that they are a bit lost on this one, especially after that one guy diss'ed Johns forecast.

Entertaining for me anyway.

TMJ is throwing in the towel and forcasting 1 to 2 inches for Saturday. Seriously if they don't know, they should shut the **** up and don't say a total unless they're certain. God I hate weather it gives me an ulcer. Its funny, weather only starting doing this to me when I got a sled. Hmmmmm

Welcome to the USSR - Union of the Snowmobile, Socialist Republic.

Censorship for content that isn't vulgar, lewd or offensive is highly un American.

I've heard alot about the famous Skylar over the years, but everything I've heard and seen tells me it isn't someone I'm missing not meeting.

Hope you feel quite empowered with all that misguided authority.

No offense, but if you own the deed, you can take the associated heat. Hat's off for "manning up".
