2001 edge 600s have VES also. We have 3 of them in the group.

Here we go again. Lol not a good day in the Poo memory dept. For me. Why the heck did my 800 twin in 2001 not have VES. Enjoy I am having a melt down.

The Valved motors had just hit the scene, and just like the Triumph with the old XLT motor, they had to get the non-valved motors off the shelves.

Not to mention, it gave consumers a choice, that I'm sure saved money over the valved motors that were "new" technology and came with a steeper price.

Got it, you must only have the 3G technology.lol

It was a very confusing time at Poo with the sleds from 1998 to 2002 era. way to many variations as chassis and engines changed quickly during that time. Wedge, Gen., genII, evolved and what ever the chassis the Storm had. Fuji and liberty engines of all shapes and sizes. But I did buy the most Poos ever during that time because back then we where all working. As far as the original question I am not exactly sure to the HP rating. I just know HP is always exagerated.

Got it sitting in the rack at Nelsons speed shop. My trailer is storing a couple skidoos in it for a friend. They said we will keep it inside stored until end of month or so for me until I get the trailer back. Works for me. I will still have time to add storage rack. Don't plan on adding much of anthing to it. My garage is currently full of motorcycles that need to go in storage in mid Oct. That will free up space. Guess I am getting more patience as I get older.
