Three days of 40, one day almost 50, one day with rain. Think they will have enough snow to keep some descent trails? My biggest worry is they don't groom after monday March 6th.

Is this true there is no grooming after the 6th? Is that a hard date? Thanks

As far as the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club goes, we will keep grooming as long as there is snow and weather to support it. Same can be said for Superior Snowmobile Club and probably all clubs in UP of MI. By law we all can go until March 31.

The u.p. groomers will groom to the end of March if there is enough snow. A few years back some areas groomed into the first week of April.

I believe it's safe to assume if it's above freezing at night, no grooming will take place......

Don't count on that entirely. There is a difference of opinion going on out there right now about how cold it has to be to keep running. Superior Club did some grooming during the Feb thaw on nights KSC didn't. Can't say things stayed flat for long, but it did help knock some of the whoops down. Good thing now is that it looks like nights will be staying cold for some time even though some of the highs could get into the 40's.

We are on the fence of going next week or waiting another week, if they get too much rain and warm weather it will be difficult to thru Houghton and Hancock.

We pushed our trip out a week due to a 10 day forecast, and got screwed with this weekends weather. I think the 10 days have been subject to change almost daily...

The Fukowee's just rode most of the trails North of Hancock and south of the bridge to Greenland where the conditions got worse. We had a lot of fun and trails generally were very good. Whether it can last a couple more weeks or not remains sketchy.

I was gonna leave Wednesday, I'm still hoping to do so. I guess how much rain they get tonight will Be deciding factor. Quite the line of storms lining up out west right now. Will make things interesting I would imagine? I guess we will see, gotta make up my mind tomorrow.

RS, I was in the same boat as you. Was going to head to Atlantic Mine this morning. Woke up and looked at the cams in the area and called it off. 3rd cancelled trip this season. Just not worth heading up from Elkhorn to abuse my new sled. Hope you find a place to ride.

Yeah I am thinking I am going to cancel as well...looks like rain may have taken its toll last night. 2nd cancelled trip for me this year but I did manage to sneak in 3.

Snowing at Krupps now! I will let you two know what you missed out on lol.

Good for you! Give us some reports while you're there. I'll be up to ride Sun and Mon no matter what. Staying at the Ramada and wondering if we'll just stay north of the bridge or if things are ok we'll take one day and come south so I'll be interested in your reports depending on how long you stay.

Gary I will be up Thursday afternoon to Parkview Lodge staying until Sunday a.m. I will give some reports. I heard they lost a good amount of snow pack, but the trails still had a good base for the most part. Hopefully they get a few inches every day to add some powder to the base.

Just drove 7 hours even though we knew better...... they need at least at least a foot of snow in some spots as they are bare bare bare and ice... Headed north about 5 miles turned around Loaded sleds back up and deciding if we are heading back home tomorrow or tonight extremely bummed out.. Rode out of Calumet.
Bummed I missed last week heard it was great.
Heard groomer was heading out tonight there is some spots that will definetly help however it will not help the 150' spots of no snow. It's bad right now.
