How far north of iron mountain would a guy have to go for this weekend

I'd go more west to Crystal Falls or Iron River

you can try what dblshock said or go about 45 minutes north of Iron Mountain to intersection of M95 & Hwy 41 (Koski corner) and head north from there to Big Bay. I don't know for sure, but it looks like they got some snow up there. Go online and find out. With all the back of forth of trails open and not being open...I don't really know if they are. Might want to check it out so you don't run into a bunch of gates closed on private land.

I wouldnt start anywhere south of iron river/watersmeet. Just speaking from watching webcams, reports, etc. like a hawk all week. I'm heading up to watersmeet tomorrow after work. May be trailering to Mass City Saturday morning.

from the noha site IM has 2-4 but just west crystal has 4-6..no one seems to even know if the season is open though.

I know in web lake WI there is plenty of snow but gates closed till I think the 15th . muzzle loader season. Really all three muzzle loader guys .

How about Munising area? Any info. on that, I can see they have snow but I hate to drive 6 pllus hour for marginal conditions.
