North of Rhinelander and Hayward I doubt you will find any business owner in favor of closing the trails unless it would be 50 and downpouring rain. A lot of those business owners are involved with the clubs and it's obviously their livelehood. Any week after March 1st is really a bonus anyway even in the northwoods.
Feel bad for the rest of Wisconsin but I know from my guys in Waukesha County that they only have had maybe a total of 6" of snow this season so far. Waukesha has 6" rule and 32 degree temperature to remain open, they were open in certain areas for 3 days. I used to mark those trails and if they had corn then they were tilled and that would be a brutal ride. If they are open they are open and go beat your sled up but you would be better off riding rivers and lakes if you want to get a little riding in.
Places like KM Forrest are technically open all the time as they are state trails, so is the Drumlin but you will riding gravel and rocks with 6" of snow. Not my idea of a good time but have at it if you want to.
