It is not over until I ride 2 more major trips. so around mid -march we still have 3 more weeks. Winter is just a little off course with the calendar. No need to panic. Please remain seated.

I hope you are right. Trip scheduled Feb. 25th thru the 3rd in Ishpeming. But Johns forecast does not look promising.........reschedule till later in March?? Maybe..........

I assume it's the same as Scottik posted for the video clip above, but in Bluto's famous words converted for Scottik......

"Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? **** no!"

And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!

[Scottik Runs out, alone, then returns and says......]

What the heck happened to the JD'ers I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Scottik, we might not find snow." Well just kiss my arse from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Old Man Winter, he's a dead man! El Nino, dead! Mothernature....

Trails have not opened here by me yet this year. Don't know if they will, and I gave up on worrying about whether they will or not about 3 weeks ago. Riding this weekend, and then tog in march, maybe a yoop weekend sometime after that, and then of course the April ride in the yoop.

Have trailer, will travel. :)

Here in North West Illinois there was one day you could ride this entire winter
where we had enough snow, and that was the day we left for our UP trip of course, I have literally
Not logged 1 mile in Illinois. Since The end of Jan I have been saying we will get at least one more chance to ride as we usually get that late Feb even March
Storm, but so far nothing, I am afraid I am losing hope now.

Looking at the extended forecast is very grim! Get out and ride because it looks like no significant snow accumulation for the rest of February!

I say 90% probability it's OVER in WI.
Sun is too warm now, melts everything, and no base to protect.
Last year I was done riding (in WI - ER) after 1st week in Feb.
This year it looks like my only good riding was 1/27 & 1/28.
F#$@ it, I love snowmobiling, but my days of having two sleds for the kid or wife to ride are over.
If by some miracle we get good conditions and they want to ride, I'll work out a rental.

My sled is put away and all summerized.Heading to Florida for the month of March. I will still be doing the snow dance for the rest of you though!!

We headed to WP for my son's 14th birthday on 2/14 - OF COURSE the kid wanted to go snowmobiling for his birthday!!

He had one hellava fun time on PR1's old RMK! We had a BLAST on the trails and off trail shoots! We rode trails 1 and 13 around Gogebic, 102 and (sorry! no map...) LP Walsh road and off shoots of fun from that!

I guess I just don't get what all of the fuss is about after YEARS of riding in the Northwoods of WI on marginal trials! The trails we rode were in GOOD condition. With the exception of getting gas in Bergland and snow being thin to none at the gas station?

It is looking good for our trip to the UP next weekend! Hopefully Johns forcast holds up!
On a side note I've made only about 25% of my normal plow income this season - OUCH! Take he good with the bad I guess!
