Nice sled lenny! I told ya yamaha's are no good ;)

I can tell you right away that the quality of a Yamaha sled is superior to arctic cat. Not the design or ride but the fit & finish is most obvious. I knew that going into this purchase and purchased it for it's engineered balance, something Yamaha does not have right now and probably never will for this style sled. I can also assure you that if I were riding trail only it would not be a cat, it'd be a Yamaha 4 stroke. I believe they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Mtn sleds need a strong power to weight ratio and a well balanced chassis. Right now I believe Cat rules in this category, but again this is just my opinion.

The key switch seems like a hunk of china made crap, side panels and hood are flimsy. I guess when you trim the weight you sacrifice things. I knew this going into the cat and believe I willingly made a sacrifice in some respects but gained a huge increase in balance and performance, that makes it worth it to me.

I know your just kidding like you always do, I take it as a grain of salt now

I bet you are  I can only imagine....what'd ya buy Di?? :p

what did I buy Di? I got her a new ironing board and a second hand crock pot, dang crock pots are expensive these days,,,,

Naaaaaa, last season we got a really nice Yamaha Majesty. That's a 400cc liquid cooled motor scooter, she loves that thing. Last summer I'd come home from work and she'd be out riding,,,lol. Last summer my in laws gave us their old jet ski that was in disrepair. I fixed it up and she loves that also. We do lots of things and it was time for me to get a new sled, she encouraged me to do so. Man am I lucky to have the wife I have, thank God and I mean that.

Kitty is tucked in and purring like a baby. She ran a few laps around the yard. Got 1.1 miles now. Gonna run it up the grade tomorrow and maybe have a barbecue at Krupp's

Lenny she sure looks nice. I can't wait to see what the baby does next week. Its gonna get lonely at the top of those mountains so don't forget to stop and help us out on your way up. lol

I cracked up when I read this. It's been one of my few annoyances with my 06 Crossfire. I think this is the same switch they used on the Kitty Cats. The real fun is trying to put the key in the switch when it's dark out.

Lenny, we just got back from the Bighorns Sunday. The snow was great then and should be even better if the storm comes through. We stayed at Bear Lodge. Don't forget to stop at the Bear and have a slice of "Big Mikes" pies....outstanding!!! Have fun, be safe!

Your excitement has me excited! I'm happy for you Lenny, that will give you many years of fun UP there. Good for you. Have fun out in the Big Horns! Let us know how it does compared to the new Pro RMK if you have a chance to ride with one. Being a Polaris guy, I would like to have seen you get one of those, but you love the Cat off trail sled and you also have 2 great dealers up there to take care of you. Enjoy!!

Looks sweet Lenny! Can't wait for next week. Better see if you can get a turbo on that thing for the trip so you can keep up with the XC....Lol. Just make sure you come down off the top of the mountain and help pull me out. I'll be down somewhere around the bottom. Sweet looking sled for sure.

That's funny. I thought I was some kind of a moron for having problems with the key. Guess it may not be me after all (does not completely rule out the moron idea though!).

I guess if there is a problem to be had with these sleds, the key being hard to put in is something that is not too difficult to live through.
