Heck, I would wear Carhartt's on a sled if I had to, don't really care what people think about my sled or my gear. I used to wear downhill ski gear(plain black) when sledding,it was high end Columbia? (i think, would have to check) since it was made for falls, wipeouts and also for being outside in cold for long periods of time. Lasted 12 years of heavy abuse and never got cold, great stuff. I personally would never spend that much, but I can't afford that! Heck, i drive a 2003 Impala with 154,000 miles - paying interest on a vehicle that loses money sounds like a bad investment to me! Interest is something I earn, not pay.

You betcha. Bread bags on my feet to keep me dry with the old felt liner sorrels and wool socks with the Carhart bibs and coat(usually Blaze Orange) cuz it was the warmest I had!

I think I'll enjoy my current gear more. Dry and warm whatever it is!

LOL! I forgot about the bread bags on our feet. We had a lady in our club that knitted socks for anyone that asked. You could even pick the colors. I don't remember them being very warm or comfortable on the sled, but they were great for running around the cabin afterwards.;)

Bread bags, those bulky wool socks with the electrical wires in them that ran up to a size "D" battery...LOL...And the good ole itchy long johns. Clothing is obviously much better, but I still think "KLIM" is one of the most over-rated 4 letter words there is. Plenty other cheaper combinations of clothing that will do the same job for me. And most of it available at Farm and Fleet..LOL

It was more of a figure of speech thing but you'll still see a couple every year. I have work mine a couple times running the sled to a bar after working in the shop for a bit. Not the most sledding friendly gear!

Where you getting any interest best I could do was .08%? LOL. But I do agree with Carhartt's very good bang for the buck wear like iron.
