Don't think Craig's list search will help. I'd bet the farm the jacka$$ that took it broke his while he was up there and figured it'd be a quick fix

Sucks for sure. I personally had over $1200 in gear swiped from my hotel room in the UP a few years ago. It sure is a crappy feeling. My friend that was with me also lost about $1500 in gear and electronics. I was so angry that morning that I vowed to never return to the UP again.... I was back up there riding the next weekend.... lol Good luck recovering your side paned.

wow breeze id lose my mind having all that stuff swiped!!! I have no mercy for people who take something that someone worked hard to pay for!

We know finding that panel is basically a lost cause because like indy said they probably needed a panel and stripped the wrap off it and ran it naked.

thanks maxpsi for the craiglist link...i think he is going to buy them if the guy will ship. they arent the nice gloss finish but for the money ill hook him up with a wrap and he still wont be out much. black base is better then red anyway lol

for the record i did not post this to scare anyone from Mass city or the adventure. this crap happens everywhere unfortunatly. Hopefully these kind of people will be caught and get what they deserve

I know exactly how you feel. It's like an off trail snowmachine wiping out groomed cross-country ski trails on marked private property. (An example of this type of property damage occurred on Mt. Bohemia property on Sunday). Or like a snowmobiler running over and destroying trees on private property. (Trees someone like me paid for and planted).

Now I'm hoping that your call sign, "Trees4Traction" is meant as a joke, and I can live with that. But otherwise, if its someone else's trees that you are destroying isn't it pretty much the same thing as stealing?

And no, I don't believe in karma. And "two wrongs don't make it right". Just 'sayin.

I think his sign in name has been brought up before, it's a inside joke or something. Thieves should be lined up against a wall, maybe alittle harsh. But I do believe in karma it will come back to them

It does not matter what kind of sled...off trail,mountain,2-up,trail, etc...its the a$$ hole driving it that does this disrespectful crap to other peoples property..same type of person that steals side panels.

Or like a snowmobiler running over and destroying trees on private property. (Trees someone like me paid for and planted). Also see above...disrespectful people like this ruin it for all and give us all a bad image. That is a shame about your trees...i would be livid if my trees got ran over by some jerk offs riding where they dont belong

yes it is a joke...the saying first came from chris burandt and we just always said it as a joke as well. If i destroyed someones trees or property i would replace or reimburse my damages, im not a coward..ill own up to my mistakes

And no, I don't believe in karma. And "two wrongs don't make it right". Just 'sayin.

Hopefully i answered this properly....

I just went out and cut down a big ole" blue Spruce with my handi Backpack saw! It was in Kwikgren's honor and remembrance of his "other" posts. I have a whole fence row to go. Dare me! Brought out the professional popper! Everytime Kwikgren pops off a tree dies.

Holy crap, you guys really do hate me! Over 10,000 posts certainly entitles you to get personal, and JD can certainly break any of his own rules he wants also, this website being his playground and all, but I guess I'm supposed to be intimidated to quit posting here to save trees and all. I'm getting a beer to go with my popcorn.

Hopefully i answered this properly....

"It does not matter what kind of sled...off trail,mountain,2-up,trail, etc...its the a$$ hole driving it that does"

It's just that these specific a$$ holes were on off trail sleds, I know this because I stopped them and tried to turn them around to go back off the trail underneath the ribbon they ducked to get on the ski trail in the first place. They claimed that their GPS said that they were on a road. I told them I didn't care what their F'n GPS said, they were on private property and wiping out the groomed ski tracks, and they need to turn around. Then they took off down the trail further wrecking the tracks and exited along the downhill area next to the maintenance shed. They also narrowly missed running into one of the landowners who was snowshoeing out there with a friend and just turned and went down another trail when they made their escape run. That would have been an interesting encounter. I always try to be nice initially, but then I tend to get mean real quick dealing with jerks.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I can relate to your frustration when something someone has worked hard for, and paid for, is taken away by thoughtless others. And I did not intend to attack you personally just because you ride an off trail sled and joke about running over trees. That's really none of my business.

Kwikgren, I think the majority of people on this site are just as frustrated as you are regarding the people who disrespect private property and do damage, etc... It's the few bad apples that ruin it for everyone. Very unfortunate. I know the point you were trying to get across initially, but think you were directing your frustration at the wrong person. Not sure why Polarisrider1 is antagonizing the situation. I'd think we'd want as snowmobiling community to show that the vast majority of us are respectful, law-abiding people. It pisses me off to no end to see snowmobile tracks going past signs saying to keep out or no trespassing. I'd also have no problem confronting someone if that was the case.

Maybe to add balance. I do not support trespassing. It drives me insane to see tracks next to a no trespass sign. Running over trees is Not cool. But for someones every post on here is to bash, harass or intimidate riders as their mission to save the enviroment maybe taking the wrong approach. JDeer's as a whole are good people. I have met a couple hundred of them. It is the few that give us a bad name. PR1 life MSA member.

That Kwikgren seems like a smart guy. Let's be honest, smarter than most of us. Nothing wrong with him trying to educate a few of us. I have learned a few things from his posts. I don't agree with everything he said, but he has always had a few good points. Pass the man a beer, and a little of the pop corn, starting to run low.
