Just Plain Nuts!!

I knew of someone that based on their beliefs, was drinking Hydrogen Peroxide in hopes to cure the cancer in him. Needless to say they died of kidney failure! The current situation is definitely concerning. We too are leaving for spring break and are now wondering what we should do. I called the resort we are staying at in FL and we can re-book at no charge which is fine with me. I'm glad to see what Fuji said about Delta as this is who we're using both ways. I have two kids and that is my biggest concern. It's too bad there is so much uncertainty based on lack of information from the Feds. There have been 16K deaths since October from the Flu and supposedly 100 of the coronavirus. You have to applaud preventative measures but what was the basis?

One bizarre thing I encountered with Delta was if you use points to pay for your ticket (or even a seat upgrade, "which we did for my Wife") the Delta system can't handle the change (by clicking on "modify"), you have to call-in. Well, the current wait is about 9 hours..hilarious.
Rather than wait on the phone, my only option (to change my flight for 11 hours earlier in the same day) I had to request a refund and click on "E-cert" and then use the E-cert to re-book.

I P.M.'ed you.
Did you get any snow since the warm-up this past Monday? Trails open?

If you hate carbides and like to overheat you can still go riding. Unless you go to Lake Of the Woods. We will be riding there for awhile.

So here is my current dilemma. Nora, Grace and I are to fly out for spring break on the 18th. Because of my health issues, I am one of those that could be in bad shape if I were to contact this bug. I have a regular Dr's appointment on the 16th and will be seeing what he has to say. If he says do not fly, then we are out a ton of $ (if we cannot get refunds on flight and lodging). From all that I have read on respectable sites about this virus, low chances on aircraft. Just keep washing hands and keep them away from face at all times.

Fingers crossed.

Just in case, anyone have any experience in getting refunds from airlines due to Dr orders? Same for VRBO? I plan to go through the VRBO contract today to see about what it says.

Off topic. But what air port do you guys in UP use? Was always curious where international and other big airports are located in UP and or Northern Wisconsin

Crazy times...I walk away from my desk to take a leak and then another story drops about NBA, NHL, NCAA, schools shutting down, etc!
One way or another we are heading to Florida...may just have to drive.

I am using way too many (...) in my sentences. PD is starting to wear off on me!

We are flying out of Marquette (MQT). Only because flying out of Houghton County Airport (CMX) is dicey from early October through early April, due to weather. Otherwise it is CMX. We have service through United only to Chicago, but then can go anywhere in the world from ORD. MQT goes to Detroit and I think Chicago too.

I have also flown out of Iron Mountain due to weather.

Some go to Green Bay, some Duluth. Most use CMX.

i think I now understand the derogatory term "tool" to describe someone.....so many easy tools out there that it will be absolutely frightning when a real crisis comes along. these wolf crys need to be understood and squashed.

check out the recent swine flu stats from only 10 or so years ago while Obama was president.

$38 from Chicago to Orlando. Probably get some great deals on lodging too. All you healthy ones should jump on this!

Had to see for myself...

Stopped in our local grocery store for a couple of items. Paid a visit to the aisle they sell all the paper products and this is where they stock the Bathroom tissue;

Crazy? I know. The last time I saw anything like this was on 9-11 at the gas stations. But here's the interesting part. As they were sold out of T.P. all the shoppers were buying Paper Towels....so I guess were reverting back to lesser quality for more supply. Can Sandpaper be far off? I'm not going to like that!!

These are some crazy days we're living right now.

In liberal San Fran, it's OK to just poop on the shelf.

Do the people who are buying up all the toilet paper realize they can just take a shower if they run out of toilet paper?

I know you are joking but there are stories of people drinking bleach to "protect themselves" from this. If you think drinking bleach is a good idea you should probably drink bleach.....

Bleach sounds as a excellent way to rid the world of idiots? I will stay with Mr. Beam, and Mr. Morgan. They've been darn good friends for a good long time! You sure can depend on them too, as they never change!

The reason their is a run on toilet paper is because everyone is ****ting in their pants when they see someone cough.

Ahhh, perhaps they were full of ----?

N414H was originally owned by Ford Motor Co. For a number of years it was based at …
