Leftover Ski-doo?

The MXZ TNT 1200 shorty is 510 lbs. That's nearly 100 pounds less than a Yama-tank.
I found a non-current for a good price, and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger. I'm reading a lot about coolant leaks.

I had one of the first 1200's built back in 09 (#21 on the S.N.). Never a problem with the engine, ran all day on Regular gas and enough torque to give you Monkey Arms. The TNT was kinda stiff for a suspension though but the weight was never a problem.

As I was told, it is o.k. to run regular but don't store the sled with it. Fill with high test and sta-bil, run for 10 minutes, shut it off and forget it until next year. Done it for years. Do the same with the Spyder.

That's true of any gas powered vehicle, because of the ethanol in the gas. On my sleds or bikes, I always run non-ethanol fuel in the last couple fill-ups before the season is done along with some fuel treatment in that last tank.

Did you mean to say >NON-ETHANOL<91 PREM fuel??????....LOL....if you are running an endurance test why not use the best fuel available, EH?

I am only saying what was reported, as the non premium fuel was interesting to me. If you like there are several sites that reported on this you could look at. I followed it on Doo talk via a Canadian site. When I discovered they were reporting on this, I tried to follow it whenever possible. There is discussion on this "fuel" type used in the latter part of the run. They apparently used what fuel was available where ever they were at. I was surprised to find this out myself, and that others too also ran many miles on non premium fuel in the 900 ace turbo. I ride in Canada, and at some places, no premium fuel is available.

I followed the guy too Abe, quite interesting.

Inspired me to wanna buy a leftover 900T in April of 2019 but 850's were like 9.7k.
BUT, I'm a 850 guy as I buy new each year and Doo emailed the $500 coupon to guys that pre-ordered a new 2017 but not a pre-order 2018 or 2019 (my algorithm thesis) to use on a 2020 X or XRS package.
In 2017 I said I will never pay over 11k for a new sled and paid high 10's for a new pre-order 17 850 Gade. And got a new X pack 2020 pre-order for the same cost. The 850 turbo 900 X pack was like $1,400 more.

Hope to ride out the sub 11k for 2 more years til Doo does a new skid.

RAS 4 maybe?

I still have a 2012 1200 and I will probably keep it forever. It really does a good job of running over Brush and Grass to open my Trail section.

I know someone that has a 2017 or 2018 Renegade 1200 x for sale. I think it is still under warranty. His number is 715-218-2200 and it should be at the Wausau Grass Drags this weekend.

Ski-doo is OK with non Prem/91fuel in a 900 so long as it ethanol free. Good luck finding it.

I have run many, many miles on 87 octane E10 with no problems on Ace 900 NA. One of the reasons I bought was to not have to "have" a certain grade fuel on our long trips. I was surprised to find that the 900 turbo is doing likewise.

I think he was kidding with you. Earlier he posted he was about to pull the trigger it was probably the same one you posted.

I ended up buying a 900 Turbo Renegade...couldn’t pass on the deal...

Found some but ended up with a 900 turbo..
Let me know if I can help I put on a quick 1000 miles on my 2019 Enduro that I bought on March incentives. Great sled but I suggest the adjustable ultra high windshield very robust and effective on those subzero days. The 900t engine was solid and responsive for me coming from an Apex xtx.

Wise choice. I kinda toyed with getting a leftover 1200 late last winter as the prices were very attractive, but went with a 900T instead.
