I will try to dance around this reply "softly" as I do not want to bend any of Johns rules to far.

I called Heninnins a few years ago (about 5 years ago) looking for a very specific sled for the wife (some call them salvage some call them carry overs, whatever). They actually had two of them, I said great I'll swing in a take a look, I stopped in and looked at it and all was good (not a current year model but still very clean and almost brand new condition). Got to talking price (and at the time I was planning to purchase it out right) then got to B.S.ing and I asked how much would they give me for the wifes current sled. They said X amount but they would have to see it first (no problem I understand that). I put money down on the sled they had then brought back the sled I was interested in trading in. They picked apart the sled that I was thinking about trading in. I decided not to trade it in (as originally planned) but still decided to purchase the original sled from them at the predetermined price from a couple days ago. Did all the paper work yada yada went and opened my trailer so the fork lift could put the wifes new sled in. The fork lift puts the new sled in and I am like what the **** is that, that is not the sled I looked at a couple days ago. Yes it was the same make, model color and everything but definitely not the same sled. This particular sled looked like it was put on an open trailer (out of the crate) and hauled from Thief River Falls to New York and back during a nasty winter storm with lots of salt on the roads and then sat in a heated warehouse for a couple months. Ok long story short I said no I don't want it the sales man said you bought it, I said nope pull it off the trailer, they did then the next day I stopped in and talked to the owner (Paul) he basically shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. He did say he would refund me all my money and I could walk away but since I could not find the same sled anywhere else (and they already sold the other one that I put my money down on) he tossed in a new cover and I took the sled, to this day I wish I never did. Just my personal bad experience and I will not walk back in his store because of the poor customer service that I experienced.

I would definitly check out Rt 12, just an awesome local dealer that consistently goes above and beyond in my mind. They have a nice selection of sleds and accessories, plus a great service department that has helped me out more than once with my summer projects.

Bruce or Jimmy can help you out, buy local!

Good call enginewise & I was wondering why you wanted that old engine which is on the way out of AC sleds? I just thought he knows what he wants don't want to rain on his parade. Viper much better sled..... Congrats!

My dealer is saying Late October or early November. Don't need them till snow falls anyway so I'm in no rush. Just need to drop some studs in and a few goodies! Hoping the Keewenaw get's hit early because I know I'll be itching!

I will post pic's eagle when when I get em!

Yep that is a lot of break in miles 3 new sleds so need those early season miles but Greenland to Houghton never disappoints for the early stuff but have to keep the top end down so I try to find 500 miles of Twistys for that.
