After all the hand wringing last year I am surprised to hear it's still there....next yur gonna tell me the sky didn't actually fall either.

Whoever did it is jeopardizing all of us. If we saw it so did environmentally concerned people in Ontonagon County maybe they'll mobilize to shut the trail down. I am a
snowmobiler but these thrill seeking idiot terrorists need to be stopped. We don't need them up here. They give all snowmobilers a black eye just for their cheap thrills.
What's with them? How can anybody be that stupid when there's a fence and a sign? It's not fair that part of our trail permit has to go to foot the bill for more fencing, signs or police surveillance. Laws need to be strengthened to seize the machine if they are caught just like other violators. Anybody witnessing this abusive riding behavior should
discretely get a description of their sled and registration if they can or call the state police, dnr or county sheriff to stop them down the trail. Unfortunately, as stupid as those aggressive riders are, they also know how difficult it is to catch them....but that can't deter us from finding a way to stop them.

I asked for the hand wringers to show the lasting damage that these "TERRORISTS" (really?) left in there wake last season....still waiting...nothing but drama on websites which does more damage to snowmobiling than anything.
If it is posted as "no trespassing" (or similar), and it sounds like it is, then what does it matter if there is damage or not? "Keep out" means exactly that!
Oh yeah, I forgot.....rules were meant to be broken.

And as you can see, 100's of posts on here did absolutely nothing to stop it....all it does is point it out to snowmobiling's enemies.
you can control the activities of the group you ride with or stop riding with them if they keep doing stupid chit and that's about it....in fact I'd bet the clowns that do it and then see it getting alot of ppl irritated on websites love the attention.
The MI DNR could put a quick end to it if they wanted too....or here is a thought if someone in your group does it and it pisses you off, or if you are that po'd on your own, video tape the fools , getting the sled ID's and turn it in to the DNR your selves.
If they see you taping and you tell them how cool they are they will probly even take their helmets off for you!

We stopped at millitary hill checked it out last year ...very steep & lots of loose gravel so my thinking is erosion is a problem with run off & every little sapling would help hold the hill together. I get it....stay the heck off because sleds are doing damage + fenced off from top for a reason.... 1 for saftey for trail riders 2 to not tear up hill. What else is needed ??? common horse sense to me.

Since when is a private land owner putting up a sign that says "no trespassing" open for debate? There is no debate regardless of water run-off, damage to trees, erosion problems or whatever! IT'S POSTED STAY OFF IT MEANS STAY OFF.......IT IS NOT A DEBATE!

My side is that continuing to beat this topic to death on an open forum does absolutely nothing except to point out a few bad eggs which our opposition can use to say we're killing mother earth, causing earthquakes and melting the ice caps. ...do you ever hear the environazis bring up the hypocrisy of someone like al gores energy usage? ...no you don't because they don't eat their own.
