How old are you anyway? Your in high school yet right? I wish I had sites like this when I was in school. You shoulda seen some of the cobbled up junk I had when I was a teen. At least your learning how to do this stuff early enough.

i'm 15. I have a 99 xc 700 and my dad's is a 99 xc sp 700. His don't make this noise.

Hey indy that sled is made to run on 87 octane fuel, not premium, say's so in the shop manual that you have. Run that tank out and put 87 in without any sea foam, or extra oil and run it, then check your plugs.

It did it again today (the clicking) it does about 1-5 clicks per minute. After i put about a mile on it doesn't click no more.

Those ngk br9es plugs could be causing all your problems. It is supposed to take champion rn57ycc plugs. They are most definitely different! Put the correct plugs in before doing anything.

Im with glenn! I havent had any luck with ngk in 10 years. I run champions in all the toys, and have yet to have a problem. Run cleaner, crisper, and no fouling.

Maybe for you....I have run NGK in all of my sleds for years.....no problems. As a matter of fact for me the Champions have been horrible. I run them with my new sleds until they are used up then switch to NGK. I guess to each their own...but you don't "need" champions in your sled for it to perform right.

Not to start an argument, but NGKs in my 08 Poo 700 simply dont work. Fouling, burbling, just flat out ran like poop. The champs cleaned it right up.

I know more people like the ngks than champs, but Im just telling you my experinces.

Where is INDY @ with this laundry list of issues ? I thought the thread moved from the plugs to the " hard to explain " noise , to the click ?

Indy, don't worry, that click is just the POO grenade detonation relay. Throw a little SF in there and carry a tow strap. Oh yea don't pull the pin.
