Nobody asked for it but Pol has put a lot of time and money into ABS. Probably get sled of the year next year. Enjoy.

Why in the world would you want that? Conditions change from ice to snow to dirt, in my mind, it simply would NOT work. I'd rather see power steering.

I must say that is RIDICULOUS! ABS on a sled? A brake does almost no good anyway. I think that could cause more wrecks than good.

Ok let me think this thru when I hit the brakes Hard Hard on my Yam 4s I can lock up the track & sometimes very happy I do grind track & studs on the trail to a complete stop. Sometimes the belt gets stuck jammed at the speed I locked brakes but no big deal just gas up slip the belt a little & go. Better if the belt didn't do this but would be a side bene so ABS antilock track would allow improved track braking & forgo studs is that it??

How about a 2-smoke that actually lasts? Something not SUPER LEAN in the mid-range? AND lasts more than 3000 miles? Sure, we love all the great suspension tech they're doing to sleds. Sleds have evolved so much in the past 10 years, the suspension are awesome, hats off to all brands. BUT, they are missing the picture, we want sleds that last! A $10,000 sled that doesn't last don't do us no good. This is all coming from a kid who has never ridden one of these "$10,000 sleds" lol

Most of the time it is just a finger tap on brake lever.........ABS antilock what is the benefit on sleds?

Think about it guys. A locked track studded or not will not be as effective as a track controlled by an ABS type system. This has been proven time and again on skid pads with ABS controlled cars and pickups. A human blessed with human reflexes is not as efficient as a machine. Polarice said it best in that snowmobile brakes are not the best or so to speak. Sorry Polarice if this is not a direct quote. This idea likely originated in mountain riding when going down steep grades where common practice would have been to simply lock it up and skid down a hill. There is a loss of control when you are all locked up whether on a mountain or on flat land. As far as Indy is concerned absolutely build a reliable 450 lb 2 smoker that lasts. That is not what is happening. I haven't been on JD for six weeks. I have been riding. Check out where I live. Who do you suppose I have been riding with?

Sleds cost enough, where does it end?

no kidding. How about we combine abs and power steering? sooner or later new sleds will cost more then new cars. make it stop. bigger better faster bigger better faster bigger better faster
