So its time for new riding boots. I have an older pair of klims and love them but as I get older my feet are flattening out and getting wider. This is the biggest reason I need boots. My old ones now hurt like a ***** because its so tight width wise. So, who offers a good boot that is a little wider fit?

First things first, what kind of riding style do you do? You can't sidehill in your grandpas Sorels. For what I do, klim adrenaline gtx are my favorite. This is my 4th year on them and hoping to get a 5th before I retire them due to chewed up soles. Perfect flexibility, dry, and the exact warmth i need. I used to trail ride with these boots and my feet never once got cold.

I second Irish Setter, several models with varied insulation, I trail ride and use 600gm or 1000gm depending on temp, and they have tough
soles, are light ,come in wide width(I have wide feet also), AND they won't break the bank!!

I picked up a pair of the BOA's from Klim as well and love the ratcheting feature of the BOA as well. Very easy on and off and also very easy to dial in the exact tightness I want. Plus, no more holding my breath as I tie my boots!
I have no idea about the issue with extra wide feet, although I do have pretty wide feet and they fit fine. Plus the bottom ratchet on the boot controls how tight the bottom lacing gets, so it is easy to give more or less room down there with a traditional laced boot.

There are many boots that will keep you warm. For instance, I had a pair of Sorel's that kept me very warm but they were big and bulky which prohibited me from moving around on the sled through turns and allowing me to move my feet around while standing. I bought a pair of KLIM Arctic Boots and I must say what a difference. Narrower and lighter but still kept my feet comfortable in -20 conditions. Ever look at the insides of your boots after some wear from snowmobiling, my Sorel's had significant wear from tunnel rub. The Klim's beef up their material on the inside toe of the boots to accommodate the tunnel rub. Get a boot that caters to the snowmobiler.

I love my Klim boots but wish I had the BOA system. I've been using BOA on my golf shoes for years, and you just can't beat it. Lacing up my boots and tying them is my least favorite part of getting ready or undressing!! The BOA would make it so much better.
I like to avoid anything that is associated to the sport. Reason being is cost mostly. You can get better quality gear at a reputable "outdoor" store like Gander Mtn or Cabelas and save a lot of money. More choices and you can try them on, on site so you know exactly what you're gonna be sticking your feet in. Just my opinion.

I have a bud who is a dealer so I got the 2016s for about 50 bucks less than country. ordered some new base stuff also and a coat for the wife because u know that 1 weekend a yr she road the jacket did not match the sled. that is prob the reason I had to pay full boat for the mod 3 that 1 weekend come to think of it
