Lets hope we don't see anymore blue cats tomorrow. Would really like to see Yamaha create something that can compete with the other 3 short track 800's in the trails. And I don't care if it will last for 70,000 miles. I don't have that much free time, I'm not retired. And before anybody says what about the apex and vector, sorry they are great for what they are, but they aren't aggressive trail sleds

I hope they do something to keep the 800 e tec's from burning down. Getting nearly as bad as the poo 800

I don't think they race the apex in cross-country racing, it's a cruiser not 800 ditchbanger

Quite a few 800 E-tecs in the group with no issues. Off the top of my head we have 7 up to 7000 miles.no burn downs at least yet, haha. Also have A few friends that havent had any issues 2011-2014's. My 2011 is just under 4K on orginal everything. Riding this weekend in the northwoods then dropping off at dealer for free piston update.

I am interested to see if Yama brings anything new. maybe they will bring a 800 2s so we can rag on them when one goes down and infiltrates the internet haha

Saturday I rode my 07 ATTAK from Hurley to Copper Harbor and back to the Bergland Bay Bar in 9.5 hours with fuel stops, a 30 min stop at Pat's in Greenland and an hour at the Mariner North in Copper Harbor. Don't know about you but I consider that pretty aggressive trail.
Sounds like he is looking a for a new 121 4s stand up banger sled not going to happen going to be 128 shortest track & doesn't like Viper due to AC & wants 100% Japan built sled.... Probably won't happen this year but will know in a few hours. Some speculation there could be new Exciter as far as trails but that would be more doo Ace like would be my best guess. To me look to YAM/AC mountain sled good, bad or ugly we shall see soon.
I'm not sorry for getting some peoples panties in a bunch just speaking the truth. I hope Yamaha makes another attempt at creating a ditch banger that competes with Rush 800,Mxz, and F8000. They tried with the Nytro it didn't work, will see if they were just blowing smoke up r last year promising new chassis's. Apex's are great sleds (I've ridden my cousins a lot) but it is a straight line cruiser. I use to own lots of yamahas I would like to again soon. Will soon find out

I don't understand why you think Yamaha is blowing smoke? They never promised 2015 121 ditch banger no idea where you are coming up with that?
