Miami at #9?

I think I'd look someplace else for predictions....

There are a few teams I would shuffle but at this point of the season you look at last years record & off season moves then make best guess for this year out of 32 ranking positions. Preseason might reveal a little bit about who is who in the zoo but by regular season game 4 you start to see tendencies & glaring weakness that can't be fixed plus who is rolling along without problems. Perfect example was last years Bears looked good on paper but on the field performance showed a poorly coached team coming apart at the seams. Bears coaching has been fixed so it is all about the quailty of players on the field. I would not be surprised to see the D roll lots of new players the O could still be awful just have to see how Cutler does with new coaching.

Couldn't disagree with you more.
We are one of the younger teams in the league, our QB is 30 and has many more great years ahead of him. Our stub RB is in his 3rd year.
WR's are still young plus TT finds 7th round WR's that end up going to pro bowls like apples falling from a tree.
And as we get older I have all the confidence in the world TT will get great players, he's been doing it for 10 years now.
He's one of the best GM's out there.
You have a better chance of predicting lotto numbers than you do predicting how good teams will be in 5 years.

Yep time to line them up & bang some heads see who can play? Always some disappointments like Da Bears last year but have that behind us now.... backed up the truck & cleaned house. New coaching & GM no comparison to last years idiots so it all starts there no where but up for Bears. Unfortunatly Lions & Packers will start to get old so time for them is now. The north future is between Bears & Vikings as Lion & Pack start slipping. Same thing with the Hawks the cap will kill them next year.

I agree 1 year at at time is tuff enough then if #1 QB goes down you line up #2 & hope for the best....it is a long season then look at 5 years with injuries & free agency who knows what teams will excell in 5 years? In Bears case Fox will be long gone by then thinking 5 years is his limit due to age so he has to improve the Bears now & 1 of his assistances will take over the headcoach position....probably not a bad thing for the Bears and why I'm comfortanle long & short term with their coaching talent.

Wow!!! who is #3 now? Should have been a very good fit for the team ....what is Billie up to has to have a good #3 for 1st 4 games?

I imagine BB is looking to got 3-1 without the golden boy and then we'll see you in the playoffs.

Heck he went 11-5 with Cassell before he got the big FA deal to the Chiefs and now he's on his 4th team and has sucked at every stop since. BB will have something cooked up.

Geno Smith out 6-10 weeks from broken jaw after being punched during a fight with a teammate. The teammate, whose name I cannot pronounce or even spell, has been released from the jets. Coach Bowles said the guy sucker punched Smith.

One day after Cam Newton got into a fight with one of his teammates. No injuries in that fight.

Patriots signed another QB. Ryan Lindley maybe?

I don't think they will go 3-1 in the first 4 games. Brady is second only to Rodgers at this time. The offense is a whole different animal without him. Also they have lost more than Brady over the off season. Wilfork is gone and also one of the best db's in the game is gone. Plus they don't get to use deflated balls anymore so their ratio of fumbles will rise up to the rate of the rest of the league. They could easily lose all 4 games.

I'll give you the turnover of players Grub.

No way they're losing all four.

The deflated balls didn't mean a damn thing about the outcomes of any of their games.
Playing with a football in Lambeau field in January and them balls sit outside for 1-2-3?? hours before game time and 3-4 hours during game time I guarantee them balls are deflated more from the cold than what Brady and his cronies were deflating them to.
My kids leave their basketballs outside in the summer sun for two hours and them things are ready to explode.

Timo - Over the last ten years the Patriots have fumbled the ball less than any other team in the NFL. Look it up. I am not saying the outcome of the AFC Championship game last season would have been different with properly inflated balls. It wouldn't have. Forget about the passing game for awhile. An underinflated ball is easier to hold on to if you are an RB or once you have caught the ball as a WR. This leads to less fumbles. Is it a coincidence that the Pats have fewer fumbles than ANY OTHER TEAM over the last ten years plus it has been proven that they regularly use (d) underinflated balls? Plus they have a history of stretching the rules whenever they can to gain an advantage. Over a ten year period there are many close games decided by turnovers. Perhaps the Pats would not have had such a good record and not had home field advantage so often over the last ten years. They might not be a dynasty. Just cheaters. BB and Brady will do anything to win. Anything. This time they have been properly punished. The Brady suspension hurts but the loss of a first round pick hurts more.

NFL teams face 2 cut downs this week. I don't remember the cuts being that close together? I do think Da Bears will pick up a few players in the 2nd cut & Packers will go with who they have for the most part.

omg are the bears going to bad this year..im going hunting and fishing..screw em..not wasting any time..go CUBS!!!!!

D looks much better this year did hard nose goal line stand against Bengles saw on DVR today. Bears could not not do this last year no goal line defense what so ever. I'm conflicted about Bears this year....I think you will see great improvement in running game when it is working lots of good running backs good O line. Cutler not slinging it so far seems to be a game manager QB but he is very ordinary when he plays like that. IDK winning may be good for Fox & ticket sales but no SB until Bears can draft superstar QB which is result of a horrible losing year. Bears stuck in middle somewhere & probably be slow improvement each year.

Packers got smoked by Eagles D looked horrible!

Bears are a 5-6 game wining team this year. Its going to be a long rebuilding process. Shae McClellin looks overmatched in the passing game, watch teams pick on him all year. Defense backs are a big question. Its hard to even name the receivers after injuries. Forte will be used heavily (again) this year. Offense line, if healthy, isnt too bad. Best player on team is Long. Bears are going to have a tough year.

this deflate gate thing is such a joke and im so tired of hearing about it!
I mean this stuff all came out when?? Like end of December beginning of January?
they've had countless meetings, court appointments and have wasted how many effing millions of dollars??
For what??
So if I understand this it all comes down to some judges unbiased decision on Friday??
All for a couple of balls that may or may not of been deflated by a hair??
Goodell has got to go he is such a tool.

Meh. where to start. Gona be a tuff year for the bears. While they likely wont be the embaressment of last year, i see a 5-8 win team at best. Offensive line is falling apart and the wide recievers are dropping like flies. coaching is the only hope. but players need to play.

Packers were my super bowl pick until jordy went down. Still think they at least play in the NFC title game. Just how they are starting out with injuries usually is not good sign of things to come.

Right now I think id take NE to win it all again.

Dont see detriot or minn threatening the division unless rodgers gets hurt.

Whoever is healthiest come january between GB, NE, Indy, seattle will likely win it all.

Watch out for pittsburgh and philly. two teams i am going to keep my eye on.

Even tho the bears are likely going to stink, im ready for NFL to start.

The shocker of week 1 odds, is the bears are only 4 point dogs:confused: . that feels like a trap bet.
