So to get a couple of good years out of Barkley is a bad thing? ...lol... maybe if he wore a yellow jersey you would like him more...lol.. I'm not sold on Jimmy G at all unless Bears get him cheap but I don't think he is durable enough to be a Bears QB maybe with the GB O line but not the Bears. Bears rebuilding and so are 49ers ...9ers will draft infront of Bears and need a QB and a new coach to ...Kelly awful... Fox is proven in the NFL and Pace has made more deals than any other team this year and turned up a gold nugget with Barkley. Seems that all Barkley needed was a chance and proving to be a pretty darn good NFL QB. To me the smart thing is to build on the positive players a team developes not deny them.... on the field NFL performance is the real deal to me.
You have NOT been watching the Bears games I can tell just looking at stats and judging Barkley. Barkley throwing to a rag tag group of receivers that droped many passes and his O line keeps getting holding penalities within the 10 yard line on last minute comebacks. More to those QB stats if you had really seen the games and Barkely still had the team in postion to win.

I hope he turns into kurt warner I really do. And I hope im wrong that he isn't that good. But I just cant see barkely being anything to get excited about. Im looking for the bears to get an elite QB. not a serviceable one. been there done that.

I'm not seeing a can't miss QB in the 2017 draft...might very well be there but not obvious to me. Bears have sooooo many needs right now & rookies panning out so to me a Barkley will do at QB for now and Shaw needs a chance too. Hoyer and Cutler a waste of time so go with Barkley and Shaw draft a QB prospect release Fales then draft CBs ,TE, WR another RB and let them play. Jimmy G imo will get killed in Chicago need a durable QB that can take the hits and so far Barkley taking the hits and hitting the receivers. If WRs not catching the ball sure not Barleys fault and he encourages them after drops where Cutler year after year would get pissed and sulk.

Barkely has no choice but to be a rah rah guy. He is trying out for a job next year. I think he will be an Ok back up to have. But not a star. There is usually 1 QB every draft that turns out good. If the bears don't like any that's fine, draft jabril peppers. How do you know jimmy g isn't durable enough? Bears O line isn't bad when they get long back be even better next year. Plenty of money to sign and plenty of draft picks to fill holes. Worst to first happens a lot, need to get someone in there now. Ill trust ryan pace's decision at QB. But something must happen.
Jimmy G not that big, ok arm but not real strong, just average to me in many ways including durability and QBing the Pats prolly the best team in the NFL. I trust Pace too and I like he is always trolling.

Good suporting cast does not hold true this time...lol... Fox likes him and 2 more games to go to continue evaluation. I'm ok with whatever Pace wants at QB but would not throw out the baby with the bath water. If me Cutler, Hoyer and Fales all gone let Barkley ,Shaw and a draft QB fight it out for starter next year. I sure would not discard Barkley he has a place on the Bears.

YES, I agree. Just please don't make barkely the main option. go get jimmyg/draft Qb and let those three battle it out.
Pace has shown control not drafting QBs as he likes to draft QBs. Pace will add a QB to the mix prolly by draft not sure he will draft early or late this year but a young gun is possible. I'm not at all sure Pace wants to go the trade route after Cutler I think he wants to draft his future QB not take someone else's pick from the past.

He has to put his EGO to the side and doo whats best for the team. IMO the fastest way to start winning is get Jimmy G and bring Mcdaniels with him as HC. The worst thing that can happen is Get a new young guy have him under fox for a year then fire him or he retires and then the young kid has to start over with new HC

McDaniel fizzled out in Denver and he had talent, so no excuse. Garappolo looks good on paper, but NE has a habit of making everybody look good with their "HOF" coach.
Hopefully the Bears don't learn, and sign him to a big bucks FA contract, like the 'Queens with Bradford. They will pay for that one a few years, all that future cost for 7 & 7.

He also had tim tebow and kyle orton as his Qbs. Belechick wasn't good in Cleveland, bet NE is glad they gave him a 2nd chance. McDaniels will be a HC somewhere soon, he has been around the best for awhile and calls one heck of a game.

Yea don't think.many teams want to play them. They will have to do it on the road in playoffs, not sure they are as good as the 2010 team but basically same scenerio. Can they go into Seattle and win?
