should of been running Howard more. 13 for 86 is a clip of 6.6 yards a carry. in a low scoring close game like this barkley should of had 10 less passes.

I still think he isn't the bears future QB. Not a bad 2nd option for now.

We all know they are moving on from cutler, but I don't mind more than 1 option of young QBs. Still want to see conor shaw more.

I'll give Barkley the benefit of the remaining games this year he has looked good and no first team receivers. We shall see how the games play out and how Barkley does but I would not be afarid of a line up Barkley, Shaw and a QB draft choice next season. Hoyer and Cutler are useless to the Bears growth. It will take time to turn the Bears around in next few years so plenty of time to develope young playes on O & D.

To me, this year's QB draft seems weak. Do you trade-down this years top pick to build-up the team's core, and hope Barkley is serviceable enough to get you through another year of rebuilding?

Yeah I agree...You hope a Prescott is out there and there will be 1 pretty good QB but no sure thing in top 10 picks.

Barkley is a descent QB, definitely no game changer but he can be serviceable in the league. Of course he is throwing to receivers that would be backups at best on any team in the NFL who knows how to field a team. Bellamy can drop passes with the best of em! Looks like every year, the Packers are coming on strong, still might not make the playoffs. If it comes down to a Lions vs Pack final game to get into playoffs, Lions let one get passed them again! Lions just need to win one more big game this season, will it be against Dallas, Giants or Pack?

Barkley could have pulled out 3 games in a row if balls that hit receivers in the hands had been caught and stupid holding penalties had been avoided. I'm not saying Barkley is Curt Warner but they both came out of no where to be decent NFL QBs. 3 games does not make a superstar but Barkely does look pretty darn good and people are starting to take notice of his throwing skills. GB game another test for him.

Well WD, Barkley played another good game. He did a grand job bringing them back to tie. But, A. Rodgers still has some magic. And he may have a good back, #88. Didn't see that one coming.

Looks like the Bears found a decent QB that can move in the pocket and throw. Another stupid holding penalty cost them this game settled for 3 instead of 7. Bears need to draft shutdown cornerbacks as greatest need.

Barkley looked a little shaky for a bit. Wonder if weather played a part.
It was a nice recovery though.

He played a good 4qrter but unfortunately those 3 turnovers in 3 possesions in 3rd quarter was a killer.

Side stat, that was the most passing yards a bear ever thru against the packers. Man we have had some bad ones. One day the football gods will bless the bears with an elite QB.

Mo, those preseason prognostications pumping the Vi-Queens as Super Bowl material disqualifies you as any sort of authority on pro football. I'd just stick with doing info-mercials for BRP. LOL!

Don't know why you can't see the positive in Barkleys QB play lifted the entire Bears team and suppling enough points to keep the Bears competitive against some tuff teams in a losing rebuilding season? Barkley seems as good as any QB prospect to build around Hoyer #2 at best & Cutler will be traded or realeased. Barkely gets the nod Shaw gets a look and Bears draft for many other needs like CB and TE. Rookies are getting much better with playing time things are getting better for the Bears team. Have you been watching? If you are Wilson sucked against Pack D Barkely did much better.

I still don't know where you come up with this stuff. didn't you think the packers are SB material?

Barkely isn't an NFL starter. He had a chance yesterday to make a name but when you turn the ball over 4 times and don't step up for a GW drive, he is what I thought he was, an average at BEST backup QB.

The sharps in vegas laugh at matt barkely as a serious NFL qb

That is plain silly..... 1 game with some picks and time to recycle QB ...to what?? Same same could be said about Wilson last week and he was not the least bit competitive in Pack game...lol There is plenty to be positive about with Barkley's QB play so far...remember Curt Warner?... sharps ran him down all season and during SB. Get over the Jimmy G thing and suggest alternatives if you have any?

Barkley played relatively well, but he had some errant throws that were picked. Those picks weren't the result of great plays by GB secondary, they were poor throws. GB secondary can make any QB look great, so not sure I'd used this game as any barometer of performance. GB secondary is one of the worst in the NFL, as is their defense.

I want my $100 since the 'Queens aren't going to the Super Bowl. You were so sure this was the year. I wasn't the one willing to gamble on GB in the Super Bowl.

Please show me the post where I said I would bet or had any kind of high confidence in them making the SB. IM not a Vikings fan.

I thought they had a chance at making NFC title game....that was with bridgewater at QB tho.

I just LOL at this, find the positives..haha cutler would get killed for a 4 TO game. Same guys don't find positives then.

Jimmy G or draft a young guy

Barkely isn't the long term answer, that we know. he played OK at best against the 3 worst defenses and secondary's in the NFL.

No one has game film on him. Remember how good Kaepernick looked for a year or 2 until defenses could game plan against him.

Barkelys stats this year...

COMP % 58.6

Yards 1,163

TD 6

INT 7

Rating 75.2

The numbers never lie. He is not that good guys
