Chip Kelly likes him wanted him for Eagles....Bear cubs starting to show some promise too if the Bears can be competitive with Lions the youth movement is working. Suddenly whole bunch of QB options for next year Barkley, Shaw ,Hoyer, Fales & Cutler. Cutler prolly gone use for trade bait for draft I would think...his time is up.

Chip kelly had him on the practice squad. Hes not the future. Shaw is only one i want to see more of. Jimmy G or draft to address QB. Cutlers gone.
Barkley doing better than I dreamed was possible but just 2 games. Remember no first team receivers right now & he is hitting the patterns no matter who is on the field. Let's see what happens with Lions if he can match Stafford it could be a good game? Barkley's body of work much better than Shaw but agree I want to see more of Shaw too. Bears not giving up fighting til the end...good to see. Pace prolly will do something at QB in the draft but Bears need upgrades everywhere to have more depth than a rookie as next man up. Youth program just starting to payoff as season matures the rookies are doing a lot better ...don't ya think?

I like the young guys. Floyd is gona be a big time DE. Need to get some more young DB's. with a plethora of draft pics and tons of cap space, a rebuild wont take long. focus must be on QB tho. They need a longterm answer if they ever want to be a team that consistently makes playoff runs.
I think Pace would luv to draft or trade for a star QB in 2017. My problem with that is maybe 1 or 2 QBs from this season will be ok for another year and Pace should build depth first at every position. No good having a talented QB get beat up and injured. Look at the injured Bear QBs this year all done for the year. I would hate to see a new kid QB get injured and be done before he can excell. Look at White we got zip from him and the Floyd injury was scary too... Grasu too but was a freak injury with him.

If the bears O line comes back healthy the QB wont be getting beat up. Id agree to add some more depth but they have 5 legit starters when healthy.
I think they draft a QB if they like one and let the team grow together as a team. Bears are likely to get 4th or 5th pick, maybe 3rd, would that be enough to trade for Jimmy G. Sounds like pace likes him.

I have an open mind on Barkley seems to be doing well as NFL QB starter seems to be durable as well....so far. I'm not stuck on Jimmy G for the future cold be a kid QB in the draft. If Lions smoke the Bears & Barkley looks horrible then his value drops as well. Still more games to play to see what happens. Good chnace to see how he matches up with North teams....let's see.

barkley, haha. He strung together some OK games against some very below average defenses. I mean the guy has more pics than TDs and has a 50% completion ratio..... Cutler poops better games than that. Teams don't cut players that may have a future at QB. He was given chances already by real coaches like arians and Kelly..... Backup at best IMO.
I'm not going to write Barkley off until I see how he plays against the North GB, Vikes & Lions games coming up. Who knows Fales might be given a start too.....have to see how they do. No question about Cutler's body of work very inconsistent QB from all world to performances to horrible no matter who is coaching him. It will be very interetsing to see if the league has any interest in him at all as a #2.

Cutler will be a starter some where next year, no doubt about it.
I have no idea what will happen to Cutler next season then add in his throwing shoulder injury & surgery does not bode well for much value...hopefully Pace can work a deal for him... get something.
Good test against Lions...Barkley can throw no doubt in my mind about that ...nice touch ... can hurl & loft over defenders. Wish he had 1st team receivers lots of drops so far. Listened to it on radio, closer game than most expected. See if they can keep it close against heating up packers.
3 games, barkley has long way to go before proving he can start in this league. 17 points for 200 yards and a TD is game manager backup material.
