NHL - Playoffs

Yea 2 down is a bad place to be. But the Wild deserved to loose last night, heck even Dubnik almost scored on himself. And the butt of his stick made the one goal go in. Home ice for the next two, should get them fired up and on a win streak. After the winning streak they had on the road just before the playoffs I thought they would have broke the Hawks winning at home against us in post season play. Hoping for the best.

I sure like your thinking! Just to even say it you get points! lol
I have been to every game and must say our Wild are looking a bit tired and its looking sloppy behind the what the cameras show!
The last series guys were back checking and forechecking like crazy!
Its going to be a tough one to win 4 now!
I hope we can win one tomorrow but I almost hope the Wild loose and get it over with!
I'm sick of the Hawks stomping out my dream year after year!
I sure had high hopes when I was In Chitown for the 3-1 win for the Wild the last week of the season!
Also I just wanna say the refs SUCK! for both teams! its not the reason for the wild loosing! its just horrible reffing!
Not sure what they have been watching but what a joke! penalties missed and dreamed up trips for hip checks! 2 guys offside by 5 steps? wow!
Its for both teams" again not blaming for losses"
Crawford is the main reason- guy is on fire! lucky too! Plus the Hawks are an awesome smarter team!
Too bad whoever goes through has to play the Ducks!
Pretty sure they will steamroll to the cup!
It sure was quiet walking out of the X last night!

Still think the Wild will take the series sweeperguy? lol

Yeah for sure there has been some questionable reffing.
Get used to the Hawks stomping your dreams. I don't see that changing any time soon. ;)
Crawford is on fire. But that's expected in the playoffs. That was a huge win 1 to nothing last night.
Last night there was a mlb bonus win. Sox vs Tigers. Nihgts like last night justify 2 tv's in same room.

Pretty doubtful now, they have not played well enough to win yet, if they can't do it on home ice last night (although they were playing better than last game). Don't have alot of hope of them doing 4 in a row. And I think its easier to win the first 4 in a row, than the last 4. But I will be there cheering them on until its all done and over. Then I will be watching the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, cuz I do love playoff hockey.

Outcoached and overmatched. The only one skating is Parise. Sutter obviously injured. Vanek just plain sucks. Chi winning nearly all puck battles. Shots on net but not many true scoring opportunities. Power play non existent. Many missed nets. The Wild peaked too soon. But they had to just to make the play-offs. Next year they might have a better chance if they can get through the regular season more comfortably and Dubs is the real deal. Chi will look different next year also. Will be losing some studs.

I don't get it why Vanek isn't on the pine line. What a waste of a player on the ice, may as well be a man down. I think Dubnik will continue to be valuable in net. The real deal. He's played well enough to give me confidence. When he first came on board, the first 20 or so games, as with any new goaltender, the team will go the extra mile in defense that helps the goalie. But now I think he's up around like 50 games or so, now he's doing it himself, and I would think he'll have plenty of good seasons ahead of him. Barring injury or illness of course. It's too bad they peaked, if they could have kept the momentum up and kept the play up to snuff, it might be a whole different series right now.

They have the team. They need a coach. Mike Babcock for example. They should can Yeo Friday morning after they lose game 4 and hire Babcock Friday afternoon.

The Hawks foundation will still be in place. Don't think losing a few studs will make that big of a diff.
The Hawks farm system runs deep. Good management is also big.

Some one in the bar compared coach Q with Phil Jackson of the Bulls dynasty years in the 90's.
Sure both have brought several championships to chi town. I think the talent both of them had was a big part.

Patrick Kane - Cant believe how he came back form being injured like he never missed a game. The guy is incredible.
You see him turn on the speed and he just blows by every one. That on top of the puck handling. He will be in the HOF.
He is the Gretzsky of the 2000's (I was a fan of Gretzsky even if he was not a Hawk. Amazing player)
... Gretzsky stated in an interview that he would like to play with Kane.
Interview was last year - http://www.csnchicago.com/blackhawks/wayne-gretzky-id-play-patrick-kane

I am assuming you are referring to Wayne Gretzky. Not Gretzsky. There is no doubt Coach Q knows what he is doing. As long as he is coach the Hawks will be a contender. Yeo is an AHL coach and always will be. There is youth and a superstar or two in MN. They also have decent prospects coming up. With the right coach the Wild could contend. Yeo is not the guy. Babcock could be. It will never happen though.

Here is mine.

I had it made up for me when I was in Chi-Town back in April. Tanner Kero just finished up his run with the MI Tech Huskies and was promptly signed by the Hawks and is playing with their Rockford affiliate. He has 6 goals in 8 games since joining them. They start round 2 of their playoffs tonight against Grand Rapids. I am just waiting for him to get called up so I will know what number(s) to add to the jersey. He will be a "stud" for them or someone else sometime in the future. He is also from Hancock MI.

The series is not over yet. It will be a major task to take 4 in a row from a team like the Blackhawks, but just 2 years ago, another very good team (Detroit Red Wings) had the Hawks down 3 games to 1 and the hawks came back to win the series and the cup. So you never know...especially in the road to the cup.

I am just glad that the only professional team (of any sport) that I really cared about my whole life is now a contender every season. Feels really good!

Hey John how’s this sound? I’ve got an Rockford Ice Hog ticket with your name on it, second row behind the bench, almost exactly on center ice, on the aisle for game 5 of the playoff series of Rockford vs Grand Rapids.Game is Sunday May 17[SUP]th[/SUP] at 4:00PM. Come down Sunday, go to the game, spend the night in the spare bedroom, get up early to do your work from my PC, then head back home. I’ve got 2 seats so if you’re interested let me know, or if they go farther we could do it for another game down the road. You can bring the Kero Jersey to Rockford!

What a finish to the Lightning / Canadians game. The last minute Lighting were something. And to beat the clock by 1 sec. WOW Glad I watched.

Hi Gary,

That is a very generous and tempting offer! Unfortunately I cannot work it into my schedule. It sounds like fun though.

Thanks!

No problem, I figured you'd have stuff going on but since I've got 2 good seats I'd throw it out there to you.

Well I gave up my seat for the almighty dollar!
My buddy made a few hundo on the seats!
I have to play a softball game that I would miss in a heartbeat if These last 3 losses hadn't given me an ULCER!
Going to tape it and watch it at 11pm unless I hear the game went south for the Wild and then I'll simply hit the "DELETE" button on my DVR!
I wouldn't doubt the Wild win to make more money for the people that already have it all!
I have been to every home game this post season! Spent a lot of dough! the Blues series was entertaining for me but the Hawks! not so much!
CONGRATS Gracie- cause she doesn't know any better! lol

Scottiking STILL POUT!

The Wild sure did do all they could at the end of the game. That was sure exciting. I thought they would tie it up for sure.

I think the Ducks will be the next series. Duck are looking good. Going to be a tough series.

Good season for the Wild. You are in a tough division. One of these years....

Ducks Hawks it is! Duck won in an overtime game last night. Another good one...

Hawks took 2 of 3 against them during the reg season.
